Private Japanese lesson Tokyo(On line, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Machida)

Private Japanese lesson Tokyo(On line, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Machida)

Hi, My name is Haru and I have been teaching Japanese for 15 years now. I am currently teaching 7 students, all foreign nationals living here in Japan. Their Japanese language ability levels range from basic conversational ability all the way up to JLPT level 1. My lesson style is ‘fun but strict’! If you really want to improve your level of Japanese, please try my class! <Daily Conversation・Business Talk > Some people can read and understand Japanese, even very well, but their speaking ability is relatively low. This is often due to a lack of regular speaking opportunities! During a 1 on 1 lesson, you can be in a distraction-free environment and do not have to be nervous about making mistakes - I can give you immediate feedback and corrections! <Basic Program> From beginner up to JLPT N1 level, class activities are based on your specific needs. For beginners, we will usually begin by building the foundation of basic grammar. For upper-level students, we will begin by practicing ‘skills for description’ and ‘skills for the expression’. <JLPT> Every Japanese student has heard of ‘JLPT’ (Japanese Language Proficiency Tests) which are held in July and December from levels 5 up to 1. Some companies have specific requirements for these qualifications. I can teach you according to your desired level. <Custom Program> Do you want to try Japanese Cooking? You can learn practical Japanese whilst cooking traditional foods!

Chinese language and culture speaking writing reading

Chinese language and culture speaking writing reading

Learn Chinese language and culture with a lot of fun. The approach helps you remember easily and apply in the daily life or work environments. The Chinese culture such as Chinese calligraphy, festivals, life and work culture will open your view towards China and help you understand and branding in Chinese context. By combining Phonetic Training, Repetition and Drills, Interactive Activities, Visual and Audio Aids, Feedback and Correctionteachers, Culturally Relevant Materials, Use of Technology, Structured Language Lessons, I create a diverse and engaging learning environment that assists students in mastering the Chinese language and improving their pronunciation effectively. Tailoring Chinese lessons to a student’s learning style and preferences involves a combination of assessing their individual needs, adapting teaching methods, and creating a personalized learning plan. Here’s how I approach it: 1. Understanding Learning Styles Initial Assessment: I start with a questionnaire or discussion to understand how the student learns best—visually, auditorily, kinesthetically, or through reading and writing. Trial Activities: Observing their engagement during different activities (e.g., flashcards, conversations, or listening exercises) helps confirm their preferences. 2. Personalized Content Relevant Topics: Incorporate the student’s interests (e.g., travel, business, pop culture) to make lessons engaging. Cultural Integration: If they’re interested in Chinese culture, history, or traditions, I integrate cultural anecdotes, idioms, or holiday practices into the curriculum. Professional Needs: For those learning Chinese for work, I focus on industry-specific vocabulary and scenarios. 3. Methodology Adjustments Visual Learners: Use diagrams, flashcards, and videos to teach characters, grammar structures, and tones. Auditory Learners: Focus on listening and speaking activities, such as audio recordings, songs, and conversational practice. Kinesthetic Learners: Incorporate hands-on activities like stroke order practice, role-playing scenarios, or physical games to reinforce learning. Reading/Writing Learners: Provide text-heavy materials, exercises, and encourage journaling or essay writing in Chinese. 4. Adapting the Pacing Some students prefer a structured approach with grammar rules and systematic progress, while others thrive in a more immersive and conversational environment. I adjust the lesson flow accordingly. 5. Technology and Resources Recommend apps, online tools, or games tailored to their style (e.g., Skritter for visual learners, podcasts for auditory learners). Share supplementary materials like interactive ebooks, videos, or worksheets that align with their pace and interests. 6. Feedback and Flexibility Regularly check in with the student to ensure the lessons are effective and enjoyable. Be ready to tweak the teaching strategy if their needs or goals evolve. 7. Building Confidence Celebrate milestones, like mastering tones or writing a paragraph, to keep motivation high. Use error correction techniques suited to their preference—some prefer immediate feedback, while others benefit from reflective corrections after the session.

“ Emanuela is really a fantastic teacher. The lessons move at a good pace and her teaching style is very enjoyable and effective. She uses a variety of tailored exercises to help in areas where I am weak and focus on situations relevant to me. She uses real-life, practical examples and her explanations of etymology, cultural, and linguistic rules make the material interesting and easy to understand. I always look forward to my next lesson and I highly recommend working with Emanuela! ”

“ Catherine was perfect for our daughter studying A -level in England. Catherine was very flexible when we arrived early due to a mix up of timings. Catherine was kind and patient with our daughter and grew her confidence during the session. We will definitely be doing some “online” sessions as a follow up in the future. Thank you. ”

“ Camilla is a wonderful teacher! She is very knowledgeable, adapts the content and format of the class according to your needs, and her teaching format is really good - clear, concise, didactic. Really recommend her! ”
