About Me

Hello! I'm Andrea and since I was 16 years old, I started giving classes in my free time. I enjoy teaching and even more when it is my mother tongue. This course can be taken by all ages. I can't wait to meet you :)

I offer personalized English lessons online and around Leipzig (4km ratio from Johannapark) . I am a native English speaker from the USA, with over 4 years of teaching experience and TEFL certification.

I focus primarily on working with adults, especially those who feel fear of the language barrier. In the past two years, I have taught business courses, but also courses for employees of cultural institutions, students of fine arts departments and employees of the US embassy.

During our sessions we delve into engaging conversations while focusing on grammar and new vocabulary. The comfort of the students is key for me, and in order to track progress, we regularly conduct short tests.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Chicago, so English is my first language. I have completed Visual Art and Creative Writing studies in Poland and courses in teaching English, and as of October 2023 I have started postgraduate studies at HGB in Leipzig.

I can also issue invoices for the classes.

German is my native language, and the courses are mainly focused on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and speaking rather than traditional grammar exercises.

We can talk about topics that interest you, use topics I have prepared in advance, or work on specific situations in which you would like to feel more comfortable speaking German – for example, everyday conversations, work, travel, or oral presentations.

During our conversations, I will correct your mistakes, help you find more natural ways to express yourself, and explain vocabulary or grammar whenever necessary.

For beginners, I can also provide explanations in English, Spanish, or French.

The goal is to give you as many opportunities as possible to speak German in a relaxed environment and to gradually gain fluency and confidence.
