Chess lessons online or at home. Suitable for beginners or people who already know a little bit about chess and new concepts, strategies or tacticsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Always wanted to improve in chess or win against that one friend? Then you've come to the right place! Together we will analyze where things go wrong in your games so that you will beat that one friend very quickly! ;) I completely tailor the lesson to your preferences / needs. In addition, during the first meeting I will make an assessment of where your points for improvement lie and what you already master. I teach in a narrative and humorous way so that the subject matter stays with the student. The lessons are intended for beginners or people who already know how to play chess and want to learn new concepts, strategies or tactics. I won the Belgian, Flemish and East Flemish School Chess Championship twice. Furthermore, I already have an experience of 5 years teaching both children and adults. I've always loved doing this. There is nothing more beautiful than showing people the beauty of chess. The better you get the more beautiful the game becomes as you gain more insight into it. Queen sacrifices and nice mate combinations are one of the most blissful things you can achieve in chess. I want you to experience this feeling for yourself.

Grandmaster, Swiss Top 5 and Coach of the French National Teams, gives chess lessons remotelyTranslate this text using Google Translate.

♛ All skill levels are welcome, from the beginner eager to expand their knowledge, to more seasoned players looking to secure coveted chess titles. ● Progress in chess can be long and winding. And without a coach's guidance, bad decisions and the habit of "bad reflexes" become a drag that so many players have known. That's why when you want to ensure long-term progress, taking the advice of an experienced player will cut you short from others, and encourage you to keep going. ● The goal of the first session together will be to determine with you what is best suited to work. An assessment of your strengths and weaknesses will therefore be made to allow yourself to plan a work program in the short and medium term. Having a clear idea of what we will be working together, and knowing what you can do on your own is essential. ● I can also prepare the study of any area that interests you. The goal being above all that your motivation and your pleasure remain intact. ➜ For the technical aspect, I use Skype to communicate, as well as the Lichess or chesscom interface (two completely free interfaces mainly intended for playing chess online) to share an analysis chessboard. It's very easy to use, and super practical! So don't hesitate to contact me, and we can directly discuss your situation and your goals :) MY JOURNEY Now 35 years old, I had a fairly classic chess apprenticeship, with my father at the age of 7. Showing more aptitude and interest in it than in judo and sewing, I walked through the door of a club, and it never closed again. I progressed throughout my youth, helped by successive coaches, International Masters or Grand Masters, until I became so in turn Chess coach for over 10 years. I decided to professionalize myself at the age of 24, once my studies were finished and my title of Grand Master reached. I am also coach of the young French teams, and preparer of the adult French team for several years. Also a writer, I have published two books of openings (The Modernized Reti, The Modernized Dutch, and The Modernized Sicilian Kan with Thinker's Publishing). I regularly do video series for Chess24, of which I leave you an extract! Despite my player soul which means that I will never stop, teaching has taken precedence over my practice of chess, and it is a choice that I do not really regret, as the progress of my students can be a source of pleasure and satisfaction.

Online chess lessons with a FIDE Master: a personal training plan for children and adults, all levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Online chess lessons with a FIDE Master: a personal training plan for children and adults, all levelsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Every course starts with a free 30-minute meeting. I look at your games or we play through a few positions together, I tell you honestly where your level is, and we agree on what the first ten lessons should fix. Nothing is off the shelf: a 900-rated child and an 1800-rated club player need completely different work. How a lesson runs: - A live video lesson on Lichess or Chess.com - you see my board, I see how you think. - Openings: a small, practical repertoire you can actually remember, chosen to fit your style. - Middlegame: pawn structures, piece placement, and how to form a plan when nothing forcing is available. - Endgames: the positions that really decide games - rook endings, king and pawn, opposite-coloured bishops. - Calculation and tactics: trained with timed exercises so the skill holds up on a real clock. - Homework after every lesson, and your own games analysed move by move before the next one. - Tournament preparation: opponent research, time management and recovering after a loss. About me: I am Agil Pirverdiyev, a FIDE Master and FIDE-certified trainer from Baku, Azerbaijan. Fifteen years of coaching, more than 100 students. Rating 2411 classical and 2508 rapid. Under 16 World Champion in 2011, Under 14 European Champion, team silver at the Chess Olympiad. I also hold the FIDE arbiter title and have won open tournaments in Italy, Switzerland, France and Spain. I teach children from about six years old, adults returning to the game, and competitive players preparing for rated events. Lessons are given in English, Turkish or Azerbaijani. Packages: 5 lessons, or 10 lessons with one free - you pay for nine and we play ten.

Experienced chess teacher, pedagogue and enthusiast offers courses online or in the outskirts of Toulouse in personTranslate this text using Google Translate.

The courses are organized to be complete and not to leave a setback area. To ensure an effective investment of the student's time, the focus is on the areas where my help has the most value (Finals and Strategy). Calculation and theoretical learning are often left to the student in personal work: - Strategy: Before each lesson, I systematically analyze the games played by the student during the week on the internet. These analyzes generally make it possible to identify strategic gray areas, and allow us to resolve together certain points of misunderstanding. I then usually offer in-depth analysis of "classic" games from masters who illustrate the most important ideas seen during the analysis. This allows a deeper assimilation of the concepts seen previously, rather than a simple correction by pointing out errors as a computer would have done. - Openings: I prepare on my time, outside of class, files of openings that I then send to the student and that he can work by himself and learn alone, once the class is over. On request, we can examine model parts together on an opening in order to complete the personal learning work. It is also possible to play practice games on a specific variant, in preparation for an important game or tournament. - Tactics / Calculation: I provide each course with work materials for the recognition of tactical patterns and the development of calculation skills in general. - Finals: This is an often neglected and extremely important aspect of the game. The final since being the last phase of the game often decides the result :) I usually put a lot of emphasis on the study of endgames, but it is possible to insist on other aspects of the game if the student shows the need. I also regularly tackle so-called classic games, essential for learning chess at any level. These games are known to every chess player from a certain point, and they are the foundation of modern strategy. - I also have experience as a high-level correspondence player: I took part in a qualifying tournament for the correspondence world championships where I finished undefeated. This forced me to improve my mastery of modern work tools (computers and different databases) and I am able to assist strong players looking for a training partner. - I have been teaching chess for more than ten years now, and have had students of all ages (the youngest was just 5 years old, and the oldest over 70) and all levels: from complete beginners who did not know the rules of the game, has confirmed players close to 2100 elo FIDE. I can therefore adapt to any request without any problem. All my students who have invested enough have experienced a very rapid improvement in their results regardless of their age or starting level: For example, a 26-year-old student who had been playing for a short time and at a level of approximately 1500 on Lichess has, in the space of a few weeks and less than ten lessons, improved his ranking by more than 400 elo points and arrived very close to the symbolic bar of 2000. :) His case is not isolated, but this performance remains remarkable. Do not hesitate to contact me for any request for information. :)

Plus, with a custom-made document tracking your progress, you’ll always know exactly what to work on outside of the sessions. I’m easy to work with, approachable, and dedicated to helping you get stronger, one move at a time. With this document, your lessons will be unlike anyone else’s because it’s tailored and properly structured specifically for you. Detailed Introduction and Specifics for the Plan: ❐ Each session is designed to give you strong foundations, practical improvement, and long-term growth, no matter your age or level. My coaching adapts to your pace and experience, making it ideal whether you're just starting or have been playing for a while. ❐ We'll begin by building an opening repertoire that fits your personal style. I won't just hand you random openings, I’ll explain the ideas behind them and show you how to use them effectively. These choices are based on your actual games, so they reflect your comfort zone and goals. At the same time, we’ll work on analyzing your games in depth. I’ll review them before our sessions and point out recurring patterns, key mistakes, and habits that may be holding you back. This allows each lesson to target exactly what will help you improve fastest. ❐ Tactics play a huge role in chess strength, so we’ll develop your calculation skills using custom positions from your own games and trusted training tools. I’ll help you build confidence in spotting patterns and making sharp decisions during critical moments. As your tactical vision grows, we’ll also explore positional play, understanding pawn structures, piece activity, long-term plans, and how to evaluate a position calmly and accurately. This strategic layer is what really pushes players beyond just solving puzzles. ❐ We’ll also cover endgame fundamentals to make sure you can convert advantages or hold difficult positions when the board gets simplified. You won’t need to memorize hundreds of positions, just understand the key ideas that matter most in practical games. ❐ What other services lack is the personal document I create and maintain for each student. I work on it outside of our lessons, so you benefit from a deeper level of my preparation. It includes a summary of your most common mistakes, advice on how to fix them, a list of openings suited to your style, and additional resources or tips that are updated regularly as you improve. ❐ Above all, I keep my approach friendly and supportive! I’ve worked with people as young as 5 and others over 40, and I make sure every session feels comfortable and respectful. You’ll always be welcome to reach out with questions outside sessions, I’ll always be there to help with chess! [Once you book, please message me on WhatsApp the name of your account if you have one (Lichess, Chess.com, etc.) and a short note about your playstyle (what you enjoy and don't), such as certain types of openings, tactical pressure, playing positionally, etc. This helps me prepare properly beforehand so your session is fully personalized to you]

Boost your chess skills! A seasoned player with 12+ years of competitive chess experience teaches chess online.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Do you want to improve your chess skills with tailor-made chess lessons from an avid chess lover and tournamet player? Do you want to increase your understanding of the game, become sharp or simply boost that online rating to dazzle friends? Or maybe you want to prepare for tournaments and enter the professional chess field? If you answer yes to any of the question, you're in the right place! Hi, my name is Michał and I am a medicine student and an active chess player. I've played the game since I was 8 years old and I won my first tournament at the age of 10. Since then, I have won dozens of tournaments and progressed my FIDE rating up to 1970. Now, at the age of 21, I am approaching my first (national) title of candidate master, which I hope to achieve soon. My approach to the teaching is very much based on the individual student and his goals. I am of the belief that whatever you want to achieve in chess, you should study all aspects of the game and during our classes we cover many different topics, such as tactical patterns, endgame techniques, positional play, openings, and more. We solve thematic puzzles, analyse the games of chess masters, games of the student, and obviously... play! The lessons take place on lichess.org with video-call and I'm using the account 'TheCoachChampion'. You can check some of my games if you want, just go to the site. A lesson lasts at least one hour but can be longer. Who are my lessons for? Pretty much anybody who shares with me the passion for chess.

Michael is an excellent chess teacher, I couldn't recommend him more! I've just had one lesson so far but hope to do more. He was extremely patient (I was really slow) and explained everything very clearly. He speaks perfect English and seems passionate about chess, as well as knowledgeable, so don't hesitate, choose Micheal :)

Fantastic introductory lesson with my son (11). Very good communication (and fluent in English) and open manner. My son was engaged throughout the whole lesson and I received helpful feedback at the end. This was the first of a 10 lesson package.

Fantastic teacher, my son had an amazing time and learned so much after only first hour! He was telling me enthusiastically all about boxing techniques after (as a 13 year old it’s his first chess lesson) and he can’t wait for next time!
