To ensure an effective investment of the student's time, the focus is on the areas where my help has the most value (Finals and Strategy). Calculation and theoretical learning are often left to the student in personal work: - Strategy: Before each lesson, I systematically analyze the games played by the student during the week on the internet. My approach to the teaching is very much based on the individual student and his goals. I am of the belief that whatever you want to achieve in chess, you should study all aspects of the game and during our classes we cover many different topics, such as tactical patterns, endgame techniques, positional play, openings, and more. Chess is a fun game that starts with the basic rules and moves through the 3 parts of the game: the opening, the middlegame, and the endgame. The focus at first is to teach you how the pieces move, what the goal of the opening is, and how the pieces interact. You will also learn the vocabulary related to chess and chess notation. Tactics are then explored to take advantage of hanging pieces, lack of king safety, space, and tempo. From here depending on what your personal goals are we will adapt the classes to cover what will help you progress.
