Hello! My name is Arantxa and I am from Castellón, a small city in the Valencian Community. During my undergraduate degree at university, I delved into two areas that have always been of special interest to me: language and literature. In fact, during my Erasmus year, I had the opportunity to be a Spanish language assistant at Cardiff University (Wales), teaching conversation classes and supporting both teachers and small groups of students. In addition, I was also a volunteer teaching Spanish (literacy level) to groups of adults in Barcelona. I have also done my master's internship teaching English and preparing students for their certification exams at the Official School of Languages (EOI) in Spain. This last academic year, I was working as a Spanish language assistant in a Dublin 2 high school and I also worked as a Spanish teacher in Valencia. The classes I offer are tailored to the needs of each student while providing fun and dynamic methodologies. The first class is a kind of interview, with the parents or the student, or both, and it's for knowing ourselves in order to see the options and clarify the purposes and the goals. In my classes I will be happy to teach whatever the student is up to. Having the interests of the learner before the class in order to have time to prepare some activities and materials, I am open to teach both Catalan and Spanish as I am bilingual. If students want to learn grammar and vocabulary, or they are more interested in slang, or they even want to learn about cultural elements, I am open to everything. As I don’t know Dutch, the lessons must be in English; but if the student is advanced I will speak Spanish or Catalan, however, if any misunderstanding I will change to English. I am a student with a degree in Humanities, so I know a lot about literature, history, art and philosophy, so if the student needs help with these subjects it would not be a problem at all.

Hola! My name is Laia and I am a student from Spain studying a MA in political science in Brussels. Therefore, my mother tongue is Spanish and Catalan. Moreover, I've had the opportunity to live and study abroad in countries like the United States, Germany and France and I have achieved the C2 level in english (Cambridge title), and the basic levels in French and German. I really like teaching languages since I believe learning idioms is a really useful skill and I can totally adapt to every type of class that the student desires (it can be online or at home, I could focus more on Speaking or the desired area, and I could also teach more than one student at a time).
