My Art Class is a moment where I pretty much spend the time teaching painting techniques (sketching, water colour, acrylic, oil, etc....) and notions of Art History simultaneously, navigating through the artistic ages of the past up to the present day. Also I do have an Italian language class where students are individually focused on learning the grammar and composition of the Italian language so that you can easily use it in written and verbal communication. Art and craft always help us in developing patience, focus and a peace of mind. Staying in the city of Paris for the past few years, I developed an interest and passion for learning and sharing the skill of painting. The hobby can be started by any person irrespective of their age. Let it be a student of 10 years, a housewife of 35 or a senior citizen of 70 years! In the past five years, after I started painting in 2017, I could motivate several of my friends and family to pursue this hobby without any prior training or knowledge. The activity makes us calm, helps us in focussing more on the work and in fact it can be an additional source of income after learning the basic skills. In midst of the pandemic and the things happening around, this hobby can thus make us develop a different attitude towards life. Let's learn the basics of acrylic painting.

I have graduated from the National School of Fine Arts "Ilia Petrov" in Sofia, Bulgaria with a diploma for painting and I have studied Painting and Pedagogics at the National Academy of Art, Burgas Branch for a year. I love children. I have worked in kids' creative workshops before. My class is a simple painting class for anyone that loves drawing already and people who are not quite sure, but love color and would like to learn something new. I would love to give in my lessons the students the freedom to experiment with materials and textures, which I wasn't allowed myself during my time in art school. The teachers were a bit old fashioned and told me they prefer me to stick to more classical techniques, and as long as I wouldn't tell them that my work was "mixed media", they would love my paintings. The class includes Color Theory that will explain as we work on different projects and themes. Essentially Color Theory is how colors correspond to each other on the painting surface and how differently they get along on the working palet. Of course, the class is mainly for fun, but I do want the students to actually be learning and progressing so I may give assignments to do at home and then bring and show to me next time, as well as we would work together when the class is happening. However I'm not going to give grades to the attendants, I might verbally explain what I like and what I don't in work.
