Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is Sabine! I'm a soprano, actor, and singing teacher educated in multiple styles. I hold a degree in Vocal Performance (Classical + Pop/rock) & Musicology, and finished my studies at Fontys AMPA (Opera). I have also trained as an actor (film & theatre) at the Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam. My lessons are entirely tailored to your personal wishes. We begin with a discussion about what you'd like to learn, and we work toward your own ideal voice and sound. We can choose classical, operatic, popular, or musical repertoire - or other styles that interest you. The focus is always on healthy, sustainable technique. You can also choose to work on different elements: we can focus only on singing technique, but also on performance or dramatic skills, song interpretation, audition preparation, your speaking voice, stage fright..all questions are welcome! Reasons to try out a lesson -You've always been curious about singing, but don't know where to start -You already sing for fun, but you want to take your voice to the next level -You want to prepare an audition (for conservatory, a role in a production, singing competition, choir, open mic..) -You suffer from stage fright or lack of confidence -You want to work on your theatrical skills -You're an actor who wants to improve their vocal technique -You want to strengthen your speaking voice -You're in a choir and want to improve your voice -You want to be able to sing convincingly in the English language (as a native speaker, I also offer English language and diction coaching for singing) -any other reason! Please feel free to contact me with any questions. All ages and experience levels are welcome :)

Trusted teacher: (English below.) Customized acting classes. I offer acting classes for anyone who wants to learn to act or speak in front of an audience or camera. My focus is to work with you towards your specific goals. Would you like to gain more confidence on stage or in front of a group, learn how to bring a monologue to life, or do you long to explore and develop your acting possibilities? My focus is on developing a relaxed, safe and enjoyable atmosphere in which different playing styles can be tried and you can develop your skills optimally. Both for those who are working with a monologue for the first time and for the seasoned (amateur) player who could use a new perspective. If you're new to auditioning it can be a daunting prospect. The first time I auditioned for drama school I was completely unaware of what to expect. I didn't know anyone who had been and didn't get any help with speeches or songs. It was a disaster and I was thrown out after the first round. Two years later, I reapplied fully prepared this time, and won a scholarship on the three year acting course at Mountview Theatre School. I can help with all aspects of the acting audition process: Vocal/physical warm up Managing nerves Making sure your speeches suit you Working on the text: Understanding - intention - intrepretation - and working towards the required standard for success What to expect at your audition Recreating a pressure environment; The dreaded panel, the waiting and staying calm under pressure I have over twenty years experience as a professional actor, and auditioned hundreds of times across all formats. I have appeared extensively in the West End and toured across the world, as well as being in over 40 TV commercials. As a tutor/director I have worked at Arts Ed, Mountview, Ravenscourt Theatre School. 'Rainer was instrumental in helping me win a place at LAMDA.' Daisy Redgate - LAMDA student. Thea got into ArtsEd! Thanks so much Rainer for all your patience and hard work!' Parents of ArtsEd student Thea Bacon. I'm also here for the pros too. If you need a sounding board/ line reader for a TV/Film audition Deciphering Commercials breakdowns to help you stand out Constructive feedback Self tape tips, Give me a shout!

Is corporate training boring? Would you rather shoot yourself every time they send you to a course? Do it with an actor! With APS, you have fun while learning! Acting means acting, acting, but also "to play" means acting, playing, but also playing. That must mean something... :) We're all always in front of an audience! 1, 10, 100, 1000 people! Who knows better than an actor? Who is more accustomed to public speaking than an actor? And besides... it's more fun! Starting from the essential elements of communication, APS (Acting Public Speaking) lessons integrate many of the basic elements of acting into public speaking, in a way that draws on the teacher's direct experience. We will therefore work on the "classic" basic elements of communication (verbal, nonverbal, paraverbal), as well as on preparing a public speech: choosing the content, sources, setting, and many other aspects that make a public speech effective. My acting approach focuses on breathing, voice use, the basics of diction (articulation and elements of orthoepy), listening and observing oneself and others, memorization, body language, posture, and audience engagement. Get your content across in a conversation, a job interview, a conference, an exam, a quiz, a performance (amateur or otherwise), or when you read your writing! Breathe, listen, and speak to your audience using acting techniques. Have fun speaking in public. If you have fun, your audience will have fun too, and they'll be more willing to listen to you, even if the topic is very serious! After all, who better than an actor... Oh, I already said that... But... did I mention there's also fun to be had? ATTENTION! The class schedule is indicative: contact me if you prefer other times!

The online lessons with Harry for my 13 year old daughter in preparation for her Lamda exam are really good! Thorough and fun, and most important, also relaxed - as it is not easy to act in front of a screen!
