Vocal performance and exam online guidance and tutoring

Vocal performance and exam online guidance and tutoring

I am specialised in preparing students for the various academic qualifications in vocal performance (recital) offered by the London College of Music Examinations (LCME) of the University of West London. The diplomas cover a range of first-years undergraduate to master level qualifications, all fully accredited in the UK and carrying transferable academic credits for use at other (international) universities. Exams consist of a performance element, counting for 80%, and a short demonstration of theoretical knowledge (discussion, sight reading or programme notes, depending on the diploma). The diplomas are: - The Diploma of the London College of Music (DipLCM) in vocal performance recital is of an equivalent standard to a 1st year undergraduate module (RQF Level 4, EQF Level 5) and the performance element is examined through a 25-30 minutes performance. The diploma is worth 90 CATS (British equivalent of 45 ECTS) academic credits. - The Associate of the London College of Music (ALCM) in vocal performance recital is of an equivalent standard to a 2nd year undergraduate module (RQF and EQF Level 5) and the performance element is examined through a 35-40 minutes performance. The diploma is worth 120 CATS (British equivalent of 60 ECTS) academic credits. - The Licentiate of the London College of Music (LLCM) in vocal performance recital is of an equivalent standard to a final year undergraduate module (RQF and EQF Level 6) and the performance element is examined through a 45-50 minutes performance. The diploma is worth 180 CATS (British equivalent of 90 ECTS) academic credits. - The Fellow of the London College of Music (FLCM) in vocal performance is of an equivalent standard to a Masters module (RQF and EQF Level 7) and the performance element is examined through a 50-60 minutes performance. The diploma is worth 225 CATS (British equivalent of 112.5 ECTS) academic credits. In all cases, candidates are required to achieve 75% to attain the diploma qualification. Exam preparation will consist of approximately 30 hours of private online tuition by me, depending on your current level. The tuition fee, including preparation and exam entry, is €20 per diploma CATS credit. Do note that entry requirements may apply, so feel free to contact me for advice on this. In the UK, LCM's diploma examinations are regulated by Ofqual, Qualifications Wales and CCEA at Levels 4 to 7 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework. The diplomas are also included in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). Additionally, LCM diplomas in music are mapped against the BMus and MMus Performance / Composition degree courses at University of West London, which are validated by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). BMus and MMus students who hold an LCM diploma are automatically eligible to bypass the relevant module or modules on the degree course. Other degree-awarding institutions (including those outside the UK) may, on a discretionary basis, accept LCM diplomas as Approved Prior Learning (APL) on a similar basis. This may assist in your admittance to degree studies at a conservatory or university and possibly provide dispensation for certain modules in your further studies. Even if you are not interested in obtaining an academic qualification, feel free to approach me for private online singing and/or songwriting lessons. The hourly fee for this is published elsewhere on this page.

Singing lessons in Lausanne with a professional soloist AND teacher

Singing lessons in Lausanne with a professional soloist AND teacher

I am a soloist in full career, graduated with a Bachelor and a Master of Soloist in Lyric Singing from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne. I have 24 years of singing lessons behind me and a rich stage experience. I lead my solo career on the stages of many countries (England, Milan, Paris, Bordeaux, Geneva, Lausanne, Brazil, Belgium...). Although already having significant experience in vocal teaching, I am, in parallel with my career, pursuing a 2nd Master in Vocal Teaching at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, in an effort to further perfect my approach to singing teaching. Before specializing in opera singing, I performed for more than 12 years in the pop/variety genre. THE COURSES: I will help you discover your voice, whether you are a beginner or experienced, on a technical, musical and aesthetic level. I can also help you learn your musical part if you are a member of a choir. We'll discuss your goals and work with a methodology that works for you. A tailor-made path to help you progress as you wish. Classes are generally structured around a warm-up and technique section (body awakening, exercises, vocalizations), then we work on the piece(s) you want to sing. And finally, we take a few minutes to debrief on the class and discuss what's next. If you have difficulty with music theory, no problem! I will be happy to help you with this. Possibility of taking courses in French, Italian or English. Tell me your request and let's talk about it :)

Singing lessons with certified teacher. Improve breaks, range and power.

Singing lessons with certified teacher. Improve breaks, range and power.

Feeling like you're not using the full potential of your voice? I'm a certified voice teacher and I can help you with that. I am part of a worldwide voice community, The Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA) and I am regularly receiving training and being tested to be the best singing teacher I can be for you. Some of the teachers in this community I am part of, teach big names of the music industry. I have learnt directly from them. That means that when we have a lesson, you will be getting the same training as stars like Brandon Flowers (The Killers), Seal, Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons), Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Brendon Urie (Panic! at the disco) many broadway artists and singers from all possible music styles have learnt with. In our lessons I will analyze your voice, define a goal for the lesson and trace a plan to achieve that goal. Then we will do vocal exercises that work almost like going to the gym, but for the muscles inside your larynx. Finally we will go through song application, and since I am also a singer/songwriter with a career of more than 10 years, I can help you with interpretation and stylistic choices. I want to help you start loving all aspects of your own voice. Working with what you have and improving what you can improve, never forgetting the most important thing which is to enjoy the experience of singing. Nathaje

“ I’ve had lessons with Chaazi for a few weeks now. Our lessons have been quite technical at my request. We’ve focussed on breath exercises and have practiced stretching my vocal range. The improvements and comfort in trying new songs has been remarkable. Chaazi is skilled, kind & a friendly presence. I’m delighted that our paths crossed. ”

“ I had a great connection with Nathaje which is important, especially since we started during the Pandemic and opted for online training. Nevertheless I felt completely immersed in her lesson and was comfortable throughout our session. She's an excellent teacher with patience and genuine interest in your vocal improvements. ”

“ I had my first class with Estefania yesterday and it was a very good experience. It was the first time I ever took a singing class, I had 0 experience in that field and was nervous when arriving. She made me feel comfortable very quickly and the class was a lot of fun. I highly recommend learning with Estefania :) ”
