Many times we feel embarrassed to sing, together we will create a space of trust so that you feel comfortable when practicing. Previously I have had the opportunity to work with children from 4 years old to adults of all ages. Which has helped me learn new learning techniques, and has shown me that it is never too late or too early to start singing or perfect some aspects of the voice. On the other hand, as a person I consider myself very patient, responsible and committed to my work, so I am very committed to my students and their personal goals. Lets learn together!

I started the piano around the age of 5, although I can no longer practice it since I entered higher education, I have kept a solid foundation for the beginnings and the fundamentals of music theory. The ukulele came later (after the piano was pretty much put on hiatus), it is a light instrument, convenient to carry and with a particularly pleasant and light sound (also). I also took singing lessons, and took part in a few competitions. I could therefore accompany in the beginnings of the work of your voice. I also propose to learn how to put the voice on these two instruments (and on the guitar if you already have the basics of the latter).

Hello! I'm Paulo. I obtained my Vocal Performance Degree at University of Santo Tomas, Philippines. Im currently residing in Singapore and working as a full time Singing Coach for five years. I prepare my students for singing examinations, auditions and recitals! I've been sharing my knowldge in singing for almost half my life and would like to share it with you!

I am a singer, so I really understand the whole process of improving vocal skills, performing, learning techniques, and feeling confident while singing. I have a really good relationship with my students so far because I am a young artist and I can easily explain difficult techniques and tips. I care about their mental and vocal care so the lessons are gonna be very open and friendly!

The classes will consist of vocal training technics to improve the singing. That will include warm up exercises, Diaphragmatic breathing, posture, scales and the actual singing. Classes will be directed to each student` interest in learning, including all styles of music and the ability to achieve higher tones.

These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation. If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed). *My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.
