Course Description: The course is conducted entirely by e-mail, this ensures complete flexibility of the students’ time - no fixed day / time for lessons, so students can work whenever they want. Students improve their skills in written English by engaging in a highly focused step-by-step methodology which guarantees results. Four written exercises are assigned each month. The course can be structured for either business English / general English or a combination of the two. Here’s how it works: 1. Each week the student receives instructions for a writing exercise. 2. The student sends their written exercise to the teacher for the first time. 3. The teacher highlights mistakes in the student’s writing using a special colour co-ordinated scheme to indicate mistakes in either grammar / spelling etc. 4. The student corrects their various mistakes and returns their writing to the teacher for a second time. 5. This time the teacher corrects any remaining mistakes using the ‘track changes’ function in MS Word so that the student can clearly see how their text has been corrected and make comparisons between their own writing and how this has been improved by the teacher.

Γεια σου! (Hello in Greek!) My name is Stevi, I am a graduate of the department of English Language and Literature with a minor specialization in Greek philology, and I currently live in Sweden. As shown by my field of studies, I have always been passionate about languages. Learning a new language is opening yourself up to a new world, and if you choose to study Greek with me, we can explore the riches of the Greek culture alongside the language! Through my university studies, I have gained experience teaching as part of my Teaching Practice courses in Greek schools and I am familiar with educational learning frameworks and their applications, as well as modern teaching methods for language learners. Being a language student myself, I am passionate about making the learning experience for students a unique and rewarding one: I adapt my lessons to the needs of my students, and I try to ensure that they learn in a way that is both fun and engaging. I have more than 5 years of experience when it comes to teaching English as a second language. My introduction to teaching was a volunteering project in a French high school, then it became my profession when I started working in a Hungarian language school. In the school I held business English and everyday English courses for all levels, mostly teaching small groups of adults. Apart from that, I also held private Hungarian and French lessons. Now I am working in a language school in Italy, as well as teaching online because I travel a lot, and working remotely allows me to keep doing what I love, from anywhere in the world. When you become my student I will ask about your goals, assess your level, and recommend a course book based on your level and needs. In case you would only like to practice communication or wouldn't like to learn from a book, we can also simply talk and occassionally use some worksheets to make the lessons more varied and enjoyable. All my lessons are generally very communicative – I try to stay in the background and correct you when necessary, and guide you through the exercises instead of giving you the answers. From experience I know that real learning happens when you figure things out for yourself, and not when you are passively listening for your teacher's explanations.:)
