I've been teaching for over three years, in very different contexts. I taught English at a language academy, with groups of eight to fifteen learners, from beginner to intermediate. I founded my university's cybersecurity club, where I gave open courses to over two hundred students with no prior technical background. And today I tutor high school students in math and computer science, as well as a student in a two-year vocational program. What these three experiences taught me can be summed up in one sentence: the subject matter is almost never the real problem. The real problem is confidence.
