Hello! My name is Victoria, and I'm a flute teacher. I've been teaching flute for four years and have worked with students of all ages. I have a master's degree in music education and a master's degree in classical and contemporary music performance. I love teaching; it's my passion. I work with a dynamic and personalized approach to develop a good technical foundation, musicality, and confidence when playing. Santiago tailors each flute lesson to the student's level and goals, from beginner to advanced musician. He combines a solid technique acquired through his training at the Teatro Colón and the Geneva University of Music with a progressive approach. A typical lesson begins with a warm-up and technical work (breath control, embouchure, fingering, tone), primarily at the beginner level, followed by the study of a repertoire chosen together, and then exercises in musicality and interpretation. The goal is always to help the student progress while fostering the joy of playing. Santiago teaches children, teenagers, and adults alike, whether they are preparing for an exam, wish to join an ensemble, or simply discover the flute. His strengths include a keen attention to sound, practical orchestral experience, and the ability to explain things clearly.

This course aims to cultivate students’ richer musical expressions, essential basic playing techniques, musical knowledge and music reading skills in order to enjoy playing the saxophone or flute as a beginner with some simple pieces. For the intermediate level, we will enhanced your skill in playing with fun.

I offer flute lessons in English for adults, beginners and intermediate players in Ghent and online. Whether you are starting from the beginning, returning to the flute after a break, or looking to develop your existing skills, lessons are adapted to your individual goals and interests. Alongside classical flute technique and repertoire, I also work with improvisation, ear training, contemporary music and extended techniques. My aim is to help students develop a solid technical foundation while also becoming more confident, creative and independent musicians. With over 10 years of experience in flute teaching and a background in contemporary music and performance, I welcome students who want to learn in a relaxed but focused environment.
