Through my teaching assistant position I improved my adaptability and communication skills by liaising with students from different backgrounds. I will be listening to the children read, supervising group activities. I can also teach Ks3 students in English, Maths, and Science Which i have done before I identified common weaknesses such as low self-confidence with certain students. As a result, I used positive reinforcement techniques such as offering verbal praise on their academic work to build their self-confidence. Another responsibility was to identify the students’ individual learning needs to help them improve their academic performance and skills. For instance, I helped a student to arrange a study plan which in turn allowed him to prioritise his time. Similarly, during university I learnt how to time manage, organise, be reliable through completing university assignments. This would be useful as a teaching assistant as one of the main roles is to support the teacher during activities, and to help children who need extra support to complete tasks. Moreover, I have strong presentational skills which I have enhanced through my team leader role within my security job. This role entailed managing a team of security guards at events and conducting presentations regarding everyone's roles and responsibilities. This allowed me to communicate effectively and improved my ability to work well in a team. In addition, I am able to work well independently, as well as being a team member. This is illustrated through my dissertation module and my group project. Through these assignments I had to prepare and create resources and present them, whilst also researching independently. I obtained a second class grade in both assignments which demonstrates my ability to research effectively and work well as part of a team and as an individual. In conclusion, I believe that I am suited for this role as I have the knowledge, skills, and experience to excel in this position. I would be able to support the teacher and liaise with students from different backgrounds and of different capabilities. In addition, I have strong presentational skills and communication skills which is significant for a teaching assistant as they may need to work one-to-one with students in small groups if they are struggling.

CNED online support – French, methodology and academic progressTranslate this text using Google Translate.

CNED online support – French, methodology and academic progressTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Are you following the CNED from abroad and do you need regular support, methodology or help to better understand the lessons and assignments? I offer personalized online support primarily for French-speaking students educated remotely, particularly with the CNED. With over 10 years of experience teaching French in an international school in Japan, I support students in a structured and caring way to help them progress, gain autonomy and better organize their work. Depending on the student's needs, the sessions may include: • Explanation and review of lessons • help in understanding instructions • assistance with homework and exercises • French: grammar, spelling, written expression and comprehension • methodology and work organization • preparation for assessments • Regular monitoring of progress • special assistance for students living abroad and following a French distance education. Each lesson is tailored to the student's level, pace, and difficulties. My goal is not simply to provide answers, but to help the student understand, develop a good working method and gradually become more independent. The courses are offered entirely online and can be one-off or regular depending on the family's needs.

French academic support + CEB and CE1D preparationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

French academic support + CEB and CE1D preparationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Is your child struggling with French at school? Does she/he have difficulties with grammar, spelling, or reading comprehension? I would be delighted to help. We will work together on her/his lessons, review the theory, and address his/her specific challenges through practice exercises. Is the CEB or CE1D exam approaching, and you want your child to be as prepared as possible for success? I offer structured and effective support to help her/him prepare for the CEB or CE1D exams in French under optimal conditions. I will provide personalized preparation lessons tailored to your child's needs and level. We can review grammar and spelling together, practice reading comprehension exercises, develop writing skills, and, of course, practice with sample CEB or CE1D questions. I can also help her/him better understand the expectations and instructions, as well as provide guidance on exam methodology. My goal is also to boost her/his confidence, solidify the foundation, and support her/him not only with the theory but also with the personal aspects, allowing her/him to progress. Lessons will be online, either via Google Meet or Teams. If you wish, we can also create a virtual classroom containing all the completed and upcoming exercises. Feel free to contact me for more information! To learn more about me: I'm an experienced teacher. I worked for several years with various non-profit organizations in Brussels (Schola ULB, Youth Club, CIFA, ABEF) with teenagers who were experiencing language difficulties at school. I am still involved in teaching, but I am currently working with private language schools, primarily with adults.

I am super happy with the lessons Lucie provides. She is very kind and patient. Lucie comes very well prepared and gives homework that challenges me. She has a very nice way of explaining things and we can also have a good laugh in between exercises!
