I’ve really enjoyed working with Víctor. He adapts lessons to my level and focuses on practical communication instead of only grammar exercises. He encourages me to speak, even when I’m unsure, and creates opportunities to use Spanish in a natural way. One thing I especially appreciate is that he gently pushes me just beyond my comfort zone. He challenges me enough that I’m stretched and learning, but not so much that I feel overwhelmed. For me, that balance is the sweet spot for growth. Since working with Víctor, I’ve started experimenting with new learning techniques that have helped me realize I understand more Spanish than I gave myself credit for. I’m also leaning into his recommendations for navigating real-life Spanish situations, and I’m starting to feel more confident actually living in Spanish, not just studying it. When I asked my two teenagers (19 & 17) what their favorite part of our recent month in Spain was, both of them independently said that their Spanish lessons with Miguel were a highlight. We are complete beginners as native English speakers from Australia and we all had a lot of fun learning from Miguel as a family. We met in the relaxed atmosphere of a lovely café in Russafa. He showed up prepared for lessons and happily answered the many questions my son and daughter had - not just about language but also about Spanish culture. Legna has an incredible, infectious energy, and her enthusiasm for the Spanish language and culture, as well as for teaching itself, really shines through. You can tell that she puts a lot of thought, effort, and love into preparing her lessons. She offers carefully thought-out materials and structures as part of the course. After just one lesson, I can tell that I have chosen the right Spanish teacher. Really excited to continue with the lessons.
