Trusted teacher: Fundamental Thought: ANYONE CAN LEARN TO SING! It's important to know this! The singing voice is part of our human capabilities, it's just not taught in our culture, but EVERYONE can learn! FOR WHOM: This course is for anyone who wants to learn to sing, speak in public, or improve their speaking voice. Children, teenagers, and adults alike, there's no age limit to start learning ;) Whether you are a complete beginner (and wish to develop a healthy and solid foundation) or an intermediate (to continue to evolve and develop your technique) this is the right place for you and I would be delighted to accompany you on this exciting journey towards the singing voice! MINDSET: - First of all, we always work with gentleness, kindness and joy ; ) Singing is a very intimate act, which puts us in a form of vulnerability, so it is essential to work with confidence to feel free to experiment, to make mistakes and to evolve healthily. The goal is to develop technically and artistically, at your own pace, and with joy! - It's important to be kind to yourself: learning vocal technique can take time; it requires patience, perseverance, and confidence to see results ;) POSITIONING: My teaching method is simple: find what works for you, in relation to your goals and what challenges you. I constantly adapt my approach and exercises to the student I have in front of me. We always start from what the body can do (the spoken voice) to take it towards the singing voice. We never work by force or against the body's natural processes: we always strive for a healthy vocal technique, free from tension and pain ;) PROCEDURE: During the first lesson, we will start by taking stock of the situation, seeing what is already in place and what needs to be worked on. Afterwards : - Vocal preparation (warm-up), - Technical exercises (to progress towards the defined objectives), - Work on the song of your choice (to put it into practice). PIANO (Accompaniment): For those who wish, I also offer lessons on piano accompaniment for singing. You'll discover the basics of piano and chords (international notation, so no music theory) so you can (eventually) accompany yourself on any song in the world just by reading a chord chart! And that's pretty cool, isn't it? ;) If you have any questions about the course, the teaching methods, or anything else, feel free to send me a message ;) Looking forward to working together! Axel

Let's unleash your full artistic potential together and make music a rewarding and exciting experience! About Danae Holder of a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, in composition and singing. I enriched my teaching skills by working as a research assistant at the Haute école de musique de Genève (HEM). As a music educator and researcher, I have led masterclasses at university level (Haute école de musique de Genève, Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen) and lecture-recitals (Biennale Baroque Genève, Goldsmiths-University of London, Université de Genève-Musicologie), while continuing my own artistic production. As a composer, I have collaborated with ensembles such as Ensemble Contrechamps and Nieuw Ensemble, as well as with highly recognized institutions such as the Greek National Opera, Neuköllner Oper Berlin and the Athens Music Palace. As a singer, I have worked with the Greek National Opera, Operadagen Rotterdam, the Onassis House of Arts and Letters, and have performed contemporary works in world premieres and European tours. These experiences make me an expert in the field of contemporary singing. Let's plan your musical journey together and develop your skills!

My journey : A singer and actress with diverse training, I have built my artistic journey through complementary experiences and an insatiable curiosity. After six years of conservatory studies in music theory and choir, I turned to pop and variety music. I then explored opera with Zoé Gosset, before joining Les Glotte-Trotters Institute for Vocal Research and Training, directed by Martina A. Catella, where I spent five years developing an approach to singing that I now consider foundational to my practice. Throughout this journey, I have explored various repertoires and sung in numerous languages (French, Greek, Spanish, Armenian, Russian, Arabic, Ukrainian, etc.), each one a window onto different musical worlds and a unique way to inhabit my voice. In parallel, I pursued training in dramatic arts, first with a semi-professional company, then at the Hector Berlioz Conservatory in Paris where I studied for three years, and at the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Conservatory where I dedicated a year to musical theatre. These different approaches gave me a very embodied and comprehensive understanding of singing and vocal techniques in general. A teaching approach that listens to you: My teaching draws heavily on the Glotte-Trotters method: an approach that places the body and sensory awareness at the heart of the work, with particular attention to support, breathing, resonators, and body awareness. A solid theoretical foundation is complemented by exercises that are both playful and challenging, designed to refine vocal perception and production, and develop a keen awareness of oneself. But beyond the exercises, you choose what you sing. Pop, variety, jazz, gospel, world music, folk, rock... the repertoire is open and it's yours. Working on songs that truly move you is the best way to stay motivated and progress with pleasure. The only guideline: that the music speaks to you and that your voice can flourish within it. How a lesson unfolds: Each session follows a structured approach designed to nurture both the voice and the entire body. We begin with a moment of relaxation and breathing exercises, to settle the breath and fully immerse ourselves in the classroom environment. Next comes a physical awakening: the body is the singer's instrument, and it deserves to be awakened before singing. Then come vocal exercises and warm-ups, often interwoven, always tailored to the student's profile and needs. Finally, we delve into the heart of the matter: singing, with attention paid to both technique and interpretation. Because singing well is also about telling a story. Tailor-made courses for all levels: I offer private lessons at my home in Paris, whether you're a beginner or an experienced singer, child or adult. Each lesson is tailored to your individual goals, your vocal style, and your current vocal development. My aim is to help you make your voice an ally and to enjoy exploring and sharing it.

As someone who loves singing it was very helpful in the very first lesson to begin to understand the muscles I need to use and the "spaces" I need to create to stabilise and improve my sound. I also felt she responded well to each question I raised, or issue she heard in the way I did the excercises. I look forward to future lessons.

I really enjoyed my lesson with Francesca. She has a bright appearance and uplifting energy and teaches very clear, practical and gives a lot of great tips in her lesson. She observes well and is on it. I could really feel the change in my singing, during the lesson. Excited to practice more and to book a new lesson.
