She is very interested in new developments in vocal research and teaching, and regularly attends events with associations such as the Association of Teachers of Singing and the British Voice Association to keep up to date with these. She is enthusiastic about the many benefits of vocal training to a student’s confidence and communication skills, wider education and life. Polly is a highly skilled and adaptable performer, teacher and workshop leader with 20 years of professional experience. She has worked as a professional singer for over twenty years, regularly performing with groups including the BBC Singers, Monteverdi Choir and Gabrieli Consort and for a wide variety of conductors from Simon Rattle to Paul McCartney. She has toured in UK, Europe and USA, performing in venues including Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Opera Comique in Paris. She frequently works in the recording studio, often recording soundtracks for TV and film including Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean.
