SAT and ACT Courses, SSAT, GRE, LSAT, GMAT, College Applications, General Academic TutoringTranslate this text using Google Translate.

My name is Cameron. I am a tutor and teacher with more than 10 years of experience both in the US and internationally. For school, I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with Highest Honors (top 99.5% of my class). While at Berkeley I also received a minor in creative writing and worked closely for three years with Robert Hass, Pulitzer Prize winning US Poet Laureate and translator of two Nobel Prize poets. I have taught for three major companies and privately, and I was the head SAT and ACT teacher for Spark Prep in Vietnam, the most successful college prep company in the country, where the rate for private instruction was 275 dollars an hour. In addition to SAT and ACT, I have taught Creative Writing, Poetry, Literature, Physics, Calculus, English Language, many AP tests, the GRE and LSAT. I have also helped students on many aspects of their undergraduate and graduate college applications to many of the top universities in the world including Cornell, University of California, Princeton and Yale. I specialize in creating individual instruction plans for a wide range of students of all levels. The score improvement of our students is generally more than two times that of companies like Princeton Review and Kaplan Test Prep. Also available for teaching groups of two and more. Send message to ask about pricing. Some parent recommendations.... “Cameron has worked with our son, Collin throughout his Junior year in High School and beyond to help prepare him for the SAT Exam. After mastering the tools that Cameron prepared him with, Collin’s SAT score increased by hundreds of points, resulting in numerous early action college acceptances.” Ken and Debra “Cameron was great for Andrew. Over a few months Cameron helped Andrew improve his SAT score 440 points, guided him through all of his college application essays, and even helped set up a portfolio website of his writing for prospective colleges. I would highly recommend Cameron for anyone’s college prep needs.” Julie “We highly recommend Cameron’s tutoring, without reservation. Our son (now a senior in high school) has long struggled with ADD and dyslexia. Organizing his thoughts and writing about them has always been a particular challenge for him. To help him, Cameron used a unique approach to writing, which involved relating the topic to one’s own personal experience and emotions, and which turned out to be the key that unlocked his writing ability. Not only did Cameron coach him through his required OAKS achievement testing, but our son, always rated a below average writer, scored an unbelievable 700 on the SAT writing exam after preparing with Cameron. More importantly, he gained a huge amount of confidence in his ability to express his thoughts, which will help him in the music college he will be attending.” Marge

SWISS-BASED ONLINE TUTOR FOR AP, SAT, ACT AND AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL MATH & SCIENCETranslate this text using Google Translate.

SWISS-BASED ONLINE TUTOR FOR AP, SAT, ACT AND AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL MATH & SCIENCETranslate this text using Google Translate.

Students following American-style academic pathways often need very specific support. They are not only learning Mathematics, Science or Statistics; they are also preparing for systems where GPA, course grades, AP results, SAT/ACT scores and university applications can all matter at the same time. American High School courses, AP exams, SAT and ACT preparation require strong foundations, fast problem-solving, clear reasoning and regular practice with the right type of questions. This is exactly where I help. → I am a Switzerland-based tutor with a strong academic background in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and technical sciences. My education in the Swiss higher education system has shaped the way I teach: precise, structured, logical and focused on real understanding. → Over the years, I have taught many students from international schools, American-style school programmes, British curriculum schools and Swiss schools. Through this experience, I have become very familiar with the common difficulties students face in SAT Math, ACT Math, ACT Science, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP Chemistry and American High School Math and Science courses. → I also work with previous exam papers, official-style practice questions, AP-style exercises, SAT/ACT-style questions and topic-based material. This allows my lessons to be highly exam-focused. Students do not only learn the theory; they practice the type of questions they are likely to meet in school tests, AP exams, SAT/ACT exams and final assessments. → MY MAIN TEACHING FOCUS → I mainly support students in SAT Math, ACT Math, ACT Science, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP Chemistry and American High School Math and Science courses. → This includes Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Probability, Functions, Graphs, Trigonometry, Vectors, Mechanics, Electricity, Waves, Stoichiometry, Equilibrium, Acids and Bases, Kinetics and Electrochemistry. → I also support students who are preparing for university entrance exams, school-specific assessments, placement tests or international university applications where strong Mathematics and Science results are important. → SPECIFIC SUPPORT FOR SAT, ACT, AP AND AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOL COURSES For SAT Math, I help students improve speed, accuracy and confidence. The main focus is on Algebra, functions, quadratic equations, systems of equations, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability and word problems. SAT Math questions often test familiar topics in unfamiliar ways, so students need strong foundations and smart exam technique. I teach students how to recognize patterns, avoid traps and solve questions efficiently under time pressure. → For ACT Math, I support students with the wide range of topics tested in the exam. ACT Math is fast, broad and time-sensitive, so students need both knowledge and strategy. I help students revise key areas such as algebra, geometry, functions, trigonometry, probability and statistics, while also improving timing, accuracy and decision-making during the exam. → For ACT Science, I focus on graph reading, table interpretation, experimental reasoning and scientific data analysis. Many students think ACT Science is mainly about memorizing Biology, Chemistry or Physics facts, but in reality it tests how quickly and accurately students can understand scientific information. I train students to read graphs, compare data, understand experiments and answer questions under time pressure. → For AP Calculus AB, I support students with limits, derivatives, applications of differentiation, integrals, applications of integration and basic differential equations. I help students understand the logic behind calculus, not only memorize rules. Students learn how to connect graphs, formulas, word problems and written explanations. → For AP Calculus BC, I cover all AP Calculus AB topics and also support students with more advanced topics such as sequences, series, convergence tests, Taylor series, parametric equations, polar functions and advanced integration ideas. AP Calculus BC requires strong algebra, clear thinking and regular exam-style practice. → For AP Statistics, I help students with descriptive statistics, probability, distributions, sampling, experimental design, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression and interpretation of results. AP Statistics is not only about calculations; students also need to explain results clearly in words. I help them write answers in the correct statistical language. → For AP Physics, I support students with mechanics, forces, energy, momentum, circular motion, rotation, electricity, circuits, waves and other topics depending on the exact AP Physics course. The focus is on understanding concepts, choosing the correct formula, using units properly and explaining physical reasoning clearly. → For AP Chemistry, I help students with stoichiometry, atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, thermodynamics, equilibrium, acids and bases, kinetics and electrochemistry. Students often struggle because Chemistry combines theory, formulas and multi-step calculations. I break the topic down clearly and practice exam-style questions until the method becomes understandable. → WHY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE EXAMS MATTERS → Every American-style exam and course has its own logic. SAT Math often tests simple topics in clever ways and rewards speed, accuracy and pattern recognition. ACT Math is broad and time-pressured, so students need both knowledge and fast decision-making. ACT Science is not mainly about memorizing science facts; it focuses on graphs, tables, experiments, data interpretation and scientific reasoning. → AP exams are different again. AP Calculus requires deep understanding of limits, derivatives, integrals and applications. AP Statistics requires careful interpretation, correct language and clear reasoning. AP Physics and AP Chemistry require students to connect concepts with calculations and explain their thinking clearly. → Because I have taught many students preparing for these subjects, I understand the difference between knowing the topic and being able to perform well under exam conditions. A student may understand the lesson in school, but still lose marks because the method is incomplete, the explanation is unclear, the calculation is rushed, or the question is misunderstood. → That is why my lessons are not random. I use a structured system: first we build the foundation, then we practice topic-based questions, and then we move towards mixed exam-style problems. This helps students become more confident, faster and more independent.

SAT / GRE / GMAT Math Preparation — Score Higher with an Engineer's ApproachTranslate this text using Google Translate.

SAT / GRE / GMAT Math Preparation — Score Higher with an Engineer's ApproachTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Preparing for the SAT, GRE, or GMAT math sections and want to stop losing points on problems you actually know how to solve? This course is built around one goal: getting you the highest possible score on test day, in the shortest time, with the least wasted effort. I'm a State Engineer (IAV Hassan II) with a CPGE background in Mathematics and Physics — the most rigorous math preparation track in the Moroccan system. The math on these standardized tests is well within that level, which means I don't just know how to solve these problems — I know multiple ways to solve them, and I'll teach you the fastest and most reliable one for exam conditions. What's covered — by exam: 1-SAT Math - Heart of Algebra (linear equations, systems, inequalities) - Problem Solving & Data Analysis (ratios, percentages, statistics) - Passport to Advanced Math (quadratics, functions, polynomials) - Additional Topics (geometry, trigonometry, complex numbers) - Calculator vs. no-calculator strategy 2-GRE Quantitative Reasoning - Arithmetic and number properties - Algebra and coordinate geometry - Data interpretation and statistics - Quantitative comparison strategy - Time management under pressure 3-GMAT Quantitative / Focus Edition - Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency - Data Insights section - Elimination strategies for tricky wording - Pacing and guessing strategy My teaching approach: Standardized math tests are not about being good at math — they're about recognizing patterns, avoiding traps, and managing time. I teach you both: the actual math and the test-taking strategy that separates a 650 from a 750 on the GRE, or a 680 from a 780 on the SAT. Every session is personalized. We start with a diagnostic — I identify exactly which question types are costing you the most points — then we build sessions around fixing those specifically. No wasted time on things you already know. Who this is for: Students targeting top universities in the US, UK, or Europe (SAT) Professionals applying to MBA or graduate programs (GMAT / GRE) Anyone who feels "stuck" at a score plateau and needs a structured push Students with strong school math who just need to learn the test format What I offer: Diagnostic session to assess your current level and target score gap Personalized session plan based on your exam date and weak areas Practice problems with detailed step-by-step breakdowns Timed mock drills to build exam-day confidence Available for intensive short-term prep (2–4 weeks) or longer structured programs

I have been taking mathematical reasoning classes with Leila to prepare for EPSO competitions, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is extremely kind, patient, and supportive, which makes even challenging topics much easier to approach. Leila has a real talent for explaining complex concepts in a clear and structured way, and she knows exactly how to adapt her teaching to the student’s needs. She is also very motivating and encouraging, which helped me gain confidence and stay consistent in my preparation. An excellent teacher for anyone preparing for EPSO exams.

So far, I've been getting help with my IGCSE 's in Math and Computer Science with Amin. In most of the lessons I've been with him, he's been really helpful and responsible. He has also been very patient. He helps me become more confident in my answers and makes the lessons pretty fun! After my lessons with him, I do understand my topics more and am able to go to my classes in school without feeling lost. If you're ever struggling with Physics or Programming, I'm sure he can help you too :)

My 11 old daughter Sasha really likes to study math with Kevin, because he knows a lot of new things, that she didn't know and it's always interesting to work with him. Kevin and Sasha speak in German which is very important for us, as Sasha is preparing for the Swiss gymnasium. Our main goal to be ready for gymnasium math exam and we think that Kevin fits well for it.
