Piano Lessons with Professional Musician & Teacher (Royal College of Music London, MA Composition)
From 68.29 C$ /h
I offer piano lessons and music theory courses for students (including prospective students), schoolchildren and young people, advanced and experienced and simply interested people in Leipzig. I completed my Master of Composition at the Royal College of Music in London last summer and have now moved back to Leipzig. Since the lessons were held in English, English- or Dutch-speaking students are also welcome.
Leipzig is a stronghold of music and many students want to start discovering their musicality as a child. Learning to play the piano is sometimes the best way to get to know the diverse and special languages of the musical world. But also advanced piano students who would like to encounter new or different methods and elements are at the right place with me with their ideas and wishes.
All around I am happy to offer my help for beginners and advanced learners of all ages.

About Me
I am a film music composer, orchestrator and pianist. Even as a child I fell in love with the film genre and, especially because of my musical training, I have always been interested in film music besides school. For this reason, I decided to study that very subject.
First I studied in Bonn at the musicube academy, then in Arnhem at the ArtEZ University of the Arts, where I got my bachelor's degree. But I wanted to develop myself further and get even more opportunities to work with established musicians. That's why I moved to London, where I completed my master's degree at the Royal College of Music.
I learned to play the piano early on, which still supports me in my work today. In fact, I have already given piano lessons myself because I enjoy teaching this art to a new generation.
I have worked internationally with various symphony orchestras such as the Bremen State Youth Orchestra, the Leipzig Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Ereprijs Orkest and some smaller ensembles. Occasionally I took over the conducting myself and was allowed to direct my recording in the Air-Edel Studio in London. One of my more recent compositions was recorded by the RCM Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Matt Dunkley. I was also able to gain a lot of experience as a copyist in the Galaxy Studios in Belgium.
During my studies in London I often got the chance to take part in study projects, which resulted in very good connections to various film schools such as the London Film School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. In addition, I had the honor of attending many master classes with famous Hollywood composers, including Harry Gregson-Williams, George Fenton and Matthias Weber.
My greatest success so far was with my first feature film and television film “Julia muss die”, which was 90 minutes long, directed by Marco Gadge, for which I had previously set several internationally successful short films to music.
I am also very proud to have won the 2nd prize at the 1st German Gamemusic Award 2012 (LJO Bremen). Working on this competition made it clear to me that I enjoy creating music for all forms of visual art. I see it as my vocation to perfect visual media through acoustic influences. It is a particular pleasure and honor for me to accomplish this for international works and with international artists.

Film music is an increasingly popular specialty of composition and is therefore on an up and coming path and not just popular among the younger generation. Classical composition is also an important part, which is why I offer a range from Vaughan Williams to Wagner and John Williams to Hans Zimmer (orchestral music - computer music).
