Hello all, I am Rotem (24), I am a guitarist and a composer, and currently pursuing my master's in music composition and theory in ZHdK. I graduated with honors studying jazz performance with classical composition as a side subject from New England Conservatory (Boston).

I have been performing, touring and teaching around the world: New York, Washington DC, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, and more!

I have grown up with educaiton both in jazz and classical practices, and therefore am very versatile and fluent with both worlds which i believe creates a unique and interesting perspective for approaching music.

In our lessons, we could focus on anything you'd like to: guitar, music theory, composition, ear training, electronic music, improvisation (jazz and free improvisation), rhythm, and many more.

If you're currently preparing for auditions, exams, or just feel like picking up an instrument or learn about music, feel more than welcome to get in touch!

The lessons can be held in English, or Hebrew, either in my house in Escher Wyss-Platz, in Toni Areal, or your place.

Looking forward to hearing from you and get to know you, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions :)

Graduated with highest marks cum laude for the Bachelor degree in flute at the Conservatory of Florence (Italy) and with the same points at the Conservatory of Milano for the piccolo Master, I am now attending a Master degree in flute performance at the Zurich University of the Arts. Music and especially flute and piccolo are my real passion. My lessons will be always different, based on the student. My main goal is to make music affordable to everyone, that's why I love to have students of any age. I'd love to have the opportunity to spread my passion: music should be first of all fun and a real joy!

Guitar course for children and teenagers
This course is ideal for children and young people and has five main objectives:

Learn Chords: You will learn basic and advanced chords that will give you a strong foundation for playing the guitar.

Developing a sense of rhythm: We work on developing a good sense of rhythm so that you can play your favorite songs in time and with feeling.

Mastering Fingerstyle Techniques: Instead of using a pick, you'll learn to play with your fingers. This method will help you develop a more expressive and versatile playing style.

Practicing Arpeggios: We practice fingerstyle arpeggios to get beautiful, clear sounds out of your guitar.

Reading and Playing Melodies: You will learn to read and play melodies, which will help you express yourself musically and experience the joy of making music.

Our method
Instead of just doing technical exercises, we use songs and pieces that interest you. This makes learning both more fun and effective, and you'll see faster progress.

Hello! My name is Orestis, I come from Cyprus and I am 27 years old. I am passionate about teaching, and one of the greatest joys of my professional career is watching my students flourish. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now and have over 7 years in teaching the piano. My goal is to make the piano lessons fun and enjoyable while also incorporating all the necessary elements, such as theory, music history and sight-reading, to create a well rounded musical education. I am experienced with exam preparations (ABRSM) and music school admissions exams, but I prefer to create my own curriculum to fit each student’s specific needs and aspirations.
I studied at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK (BA) and at the Liszt Academy of Music, HU (MA). I have performed extensively as a solo and chamber musician and I had the joy to collaborate with various orchestras. My greatest joy in music is collaborating and creating music together with other musicians, and this is why I am now pursuing the Specialized Piano Chamber Music Master’s at ZHdK.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
