I am guitarist and lutenist from Spain with 15 years of experience in music performance and I have taught in different music schools to students from very different ages and levels. For my lessons, neither age nor level is an impediment to teaching musicality and guitar technique. My principal aim is to unveil the intrinsic qualities of the student, in a natural and progressive way, through the enjoyment of the music. We can work on many different musical styles of classical musica and it’s different styles, languages and notation sources. On music popular styles like "flamenco" (rumbas, fandangos, alegrías, sevillanas, etc) and its different ways of strumming, scales, harmony structures and "compás". Or we can deep in the huge and fantastic world of early music through the tablatures and manuscripts from the XVI century. Whether for amateurs, advanced students, kids, young people or adults. Either for auditions, preparation for concerts, music schools, music exams, hobby or just for love of the guitar. You are all welcome to join my lessons. Hi there ! I'm Aurelio, bass player, guitarist and singer originally from Peru, now based in Zurich. I've been performing professionally since I was 18 and my journey in music took me to a jazz school in Toulouse, France. My style blends latin music with a variety of modern popular genres like pop, funk, hip-hop, reggae and jazzy flavours. However, I really enjoy discovering new music with my students and adapting the lessons to their own music desires ! I am fluent in English, French, Spanish and I am currently learning German. Mastering Fingerstyle Techniques: Instead of using a pick, you'll learn to play with your fingers. This method will help you develop a more expressive and versatile playing style. Practicing Arpeggios: We practice fingerstyle arpeggios to get beautiful, clear sounds out of your guitar. Reading and Playing Melodies: You will learn to read and play melodies, which will help you express yourself musically and experience the joy of making music. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I've been making and playing music for five years and am currently pursuing a degree in music at EMPA (Avellaneda Popular Music School). I've been studying music for a year and a half, and I've acquired the knowledge to teach beginners to the instrument and interested in developing a passion for music. Guitar and Music Theory classes, beginner level. The classes are private (1 student per class) and are personalized, adapting to the tastes and objectives of each student. They last one hour and are 100% virtual via Zoom. The idea is to learn dynamically, seeing concrete examples with songs, and always putting theory into practice.
