Would you like to learn how to play piano? Or have you already started, but don't know how to proceed? You are in a good place! I am a passionate piano teacher and my goal is to prove that everybody can play and enjoy making music.

Main factors of my lessons are: individual approach, inspiring and positive atmosphere and full involvement in the process of development of my student. I believe the key to success is not “talent”, it’s rather the inspiring
influence of the teacher and his/her positive approach that allows the student to make mistakes and turn them into opportunities. Teaching piano is very special and important to me, because it allows me to share my biggest passion and the experience that I gained through many years of my education.

I started playing piano in the age of 6. I graduated from Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Poland) and also studied in Frost School of Music in Miami. I have been teaching in a music school as well as privately. Currently I teach in the International Swiss School in Wollishofen and Lakeside School Horgen.

I have developed my own teaching approach, based on years of practice with my Master teachers and my own research.
I focus on supporting and developing student’s individuality. I am open to meet specific expectations and needs.
I play the violin with my students to demonstrate and to inspire them. I also willingly perform together with pupils as well as accompany them during family performances. This makes playing even more enjoyable!

I offer group and chamber music lessons. That's the best way to learn how to communicate with others through the sounds of instruments. Students learn how to use music as a way to connect, follow the leader or to train mindful awareness. Playing together supports motivation to practice and improve skills.

I teach to improvise. I treat the instrument as a voice to be used freely.
I use improvisation as a language, wordless channel to create dialogue or express emotions. It builds student’s ability to play with trust.
It allows making music to become more personal.

I am a professional classical pianist with extensive experience with many children, young and adult people. I create a personal plan depending on your time, your level, and the style.

Graduate pianist gives private piano lessons for:

Hey there, I'm Zeynep! I was born in Turkey, Istanbul but I was raised internationally and went to a half English- half Turkish bilingual school. I am currently living in Zurich, Switzerland. I'm studying architecture at the ETH. I'm very passionate about teaching and I really enjoy it! I'm not a big fan of being very serious and formal in our lessons, instead, I like to create a fun and enjoyable learning environment. I teach composition, arrangement and production and tend to use my voice a lot to realize melodic and rhythmic ideas with great piano support. I have developed a technique to arrange and produce with the "beatbox" as well. I think it's important to motivate students with projects live or in the studio, preferably with other musicians.
I also teach aural training in recognizing intervals between notes, rhythmic and melodic dictation, and recognizing chords and keys. I teach improvisation on keyboards, voice or percussion using methods that involve scales and melodic patterns applied in practice.

Love – is a very important component of the human happiness. And my goal and duty as a Music teacher is to develop and protect Love towards Music in every student’s heart. I’m looking forward to meet the new students who are looking for the joyful and fruitful studies of Music, holding such a beautiful instrument, as Guitar.
