I have been teaching piano for the past 7 years. I started tutoring piano as a side hustle when I was 16 years old and it ended up turning into the most wonderful achievement I have ever done. Over the past 7 years, I have had the pleasure of teaching children from beginners to the final exam on ABRSM.

In my classes, I tend to focus on preparing the student so they are able to take the ABRSM grades and earn a qualification at the end of it. However, each class varies, the focus of each class is to get you to your goals and help you achieve them. Each lesson is personalized and tailored to you.

Listening Ability:
As this is a most significant period of aural development, a rich and varied array of listening activities develops sensitivity and listening ability and enables students to perceive music's power to vividly express images and emotions.

Social Development:
Because of the importance of the parent in the life of a child this age, interaction between parent and child is an important focus in the lessons. Also, through the lessons children develop the basic skills of relating to others

Keyboard Experience:
Children experience sound through the keyboard and are introduced to the fun of keyboard playing. Appropriate to this stage in their physical development, initial playing activities engage the use of large motor skills.

Cultivation of the Imagination:
Recognizing the significance of fantasy, play, and the imagination in the learning of children of this age, the activities, textbooks, and music are filled with suitable colorful, playful imagery, sounds, and subjects.

Main factors of my lessons are: individual approach, inspiring and positive atmosphere and full involvement in the process of development of my student. I believe the key to success is not “talent”, it’s rather the inspiring
influence of the teacher and his/her positive approach that allows the student to make mistakes and turn them into opportunities. Teaching piano is very special and important to me, because it allows me to share my biggest passion and the experience that I gained through many years of my education.

I started playing piano in the age of 6. I graduated from Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Poland) and also studied in Frost School of Music in Miami. I have been teaching in a music school as well as privately. Currently I teach in the International Swiss School in Wollishofen and Lakeside School Horgen.

I'm nearly 15 years world touring professional jazz, classical pianist, singer and educator. I'm applying fresh and very inspiring, fun methodology teaching jazz, classical, pop music on piano, composition, songwriting, music theory and singing both for newbies and professionals, children and and adults too!

Piano and Singing class.
I graduated at Prague Conservatory and traveled the world with my band on the cruise ship.
I have tons of experience with teaching children and i am the happiest around them.
We will go through the basics, music theory and all basics thing that are important for beeing able to play.
At my singing class, there is also a little bit of piano involved. I will explain you the breathing, we will talk about your body importance and i explain the technique.
In order to motivate my students, I always combinate important methodic things to play with their own favorite things to play. The same at my piano class.

I speak fluent English, my German is not the best, but i am working on it. I have also students, who dont speak English and we always make it work, actually it is a lot of fun.

Via webcam i only teach singing, not piano.

Hey there, I'm Zeynep! I was born in Turkey, Istanbul but I was raised internationally and went to a half English- half Turkish bilingual school. I am currently living in Zurich, Switzerland. I'm studying architecture at the ETH. I'm very passionate about teaching and I really enjoy it! I'm not a big fan of being very serious and formal in our lessons, instead, I like to create a fun and enjoyable learning environment. Lesson plan: learning to express musical ideas through graphic notation and improvisation, leaning to notice and deeply listen to the everyday sounds around us and create new sonic ideas through drawing, writing and improvising.

Composition lessons for children from the age of 14 and adults

Lesson schedule: 1x per week
