Live Philosophy class for the curious, reflective and uneasy
From 48 C$ /h
This is a class for those who are uneasy about philosophy, who have an invisible guiding feeling, a daimon, a bluebird that suggests that philosophy is "infinity in the palm of your hand / and eternity in an hour."
Want to get into philosophy, but don't know where to start? Interested in philosophy, but never had anyone to bounce off your ideas against? Having trouble grappling with a philosophical text? Looking for inspiration for original ideas?
In this class we can delve deep into ancient or contemporary texts, depending on the students' own interests and preferences. We try to not only discuss and theorize, but also live out philosophy as the ancient Greeks have done. Depending on the experience and familiarity with philosophy, we embrace age-old questions and contemporary dilemmas in an elucidating and fun way.

About Me
Philosophy is not just cold theorizing, but a way of life, a way of way of life, and ways of life all the way down. So doing philosophy in a manner that is reminiscent of dictionaries that copy an entry from a previous version and add a single qualifying word to me is empty. If philosophy does not touch on what we live by, in, etc., then I sentence such a method to the underworld where it can serve itself in blindness and numbness.
I seek to bring life to philosophy and seeing a student fall in love with this field is to see a student fall in love with what constitutes the whole of life, not what narrows it down to the underworld. I try to let the student think as much as he is willing, and from my part, I propose alternatives, possible unforeseen consequences to his/her theories and additional context, details etc. Of course, I ask questions to to answers that were implicit, thus shaping the student without his perception. This way, one may grow as a critical thinker.
