My name is Cindy, and I bring over 20 years of experience in music and piano education. Teaching has been my passion since graduating from university, where I began my journey as a full-time piano teacher. My lessons go beyond piano performance, offering a comprehensive approach that includes sight-reading, music theory, and aural training tailored to each student’s needs.

I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages—children, teenagers, and adults—at every skill level. My teaching style is flexible and personalized, adapting to each student’s interests, goals, and unique strengths. I studied violin degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo in Spain and viola in Spain and at the Utrechts Conservatorium. The research of my final exam was about well-being and phisical education to improve and accelerate the learning process.

Do you like singing? Or do you walk around with songs in your head all day? Then take singing lessons with Deborah online or in Amstelveen Westwijk. We sing songs from different countries and times. We will also work on different rhythms, notes and tone exercises.

If you are busy singing you can even have a completely different feeling and you can ensure that you have extra energy for the rest of the day.

Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible..

During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. As a musician, you spend a significant amount of time in the practice room. It’s nice to make this time as enjoyable as possible while also maximizing efficiency. In this class, you’ll receive individualized coaching on the structure of your practice time, as well as practice strategies to boost learning.

During a lesson we will work together to assess your goals for practice, what is working well for you, and what areas need improvement. You’ll also learn how to structure your practice time to improve accuracy and help you learn new material faster. The course can be designed as a trajectory over several sessions to meet a long-term practice or performance goal, but you’ll be surprised at just how much the impact of even a single session can make on your playing.

Hello, my name is Marlou. I was nine years old when I first held a guitar. It was love at first sight. I always have my guitar with me. I've been teaching for ten years, and after a year of lessons, one of my students uttered the unforgettable line: "My guitar is my soulmate." With a guitar, you have a friend for life. I want everyone to experience that.
Everyone learns differently. Some people want to learn notes and visualize sheet music, while others play by ear. Some want to hear a song first and sing it without a guitar, while others want to play along right away. It's all possible. In your first lesson, you can tell me what you want to learn, and I tailor my lessons accordingly.
After each lesson, I'll give you exercises to practice at home. The more you practice at home, the faster we'll progress. If you'd like, you can record the lesson so you can listen to it again at home and practice along with it.
I'll teach you all the basic chords. I'll pay close attention to your guitar posture and the way you place your hands and fingers on the guitar. The better you master the basic chords, the easier it will be to learn new and more complex things later. I can also teach you how to strum the guitar. And if you're interested, I can teach you how to read music.

If you'd like to learn to sing while you perform, I can teach you simple tricks to make singing easier. I'm not a singing teacher, but thanks to my initial training in speech therapy, CVT (Complete Vocal Training) singing lessons, and my stage experience as a singer, I have extensive knowledge of learning proper breathing and training your breath support. I can also teach you how to overcome your shyness, if that's your problem. Playing and singing at the same time will then become a lot of fun.

I’ve spent years teaching at the National Conservatory of Music in Cuba, performing as a soloist, with choirs, and in ensembles of various formats, sharing stages nationally and internationally. I’ve just arrived in Amsterdam and I’ve recently started learning Dutch and I am getting more confident in English.
