Whether you want to learn how to DJ, produce your (first) tracks, learn to play the piano, understand composition, or build a stronger (online) creative identity, I’m happy to guide you!
We can work on the technical side of music, like DJing/production, arrangement, mixing, and music theory, but also on the bigger picture: creating concepts, developing your style, and building your personal brand as an artist.
For me, music is all about curiosity, creativity, and having fun while learning. Everyone has their own ideas and inspiration, and I enjoy helping you shape those into something unique. Whether you’re just starting out or already making music, we’ll look together at what you want to achieve and create a learning path that fits you.

About Me
Hi, I’m Darnell! I’m a DJ, music producer, pianist, and creative based in Noord-Holland.
Besides working on my own music and creative projects, teaching is something I truly love. There’s nothing more rewarding to me than seeing someone discover their own sound, gain confidence, and turn their ideas into something real.
My goal is for every lesson to feel personal, inspiring, and useful. I want you to leave each session feeling motivated, with new knowledge, creative tools, and a better understanding of your own musical direction.
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow further, I’ll help you explore your creativity and develop your own musical voice.
My own musical journey started 14 years ago with piano and exploring different styles, which eventually led me into production, DJing, and creating concepts around music. Over time I’ve developed a passion for combining the technical side of music with creativity, storytelling, and branding. I believe every artist has a unique voice — my role is to help you discover it, shape it, and bring it to life.
I teach in Noord-Holland and am open to teaching on location as well.

Experience / Qualifications
Alongside my work as an artist, I have over 10 years of experience in teaching music. I have worked at a creative school focused on music, film, and photography, where I developed my ability to guide students with different backgrounds, interests, and creative goals.
As an artist, I perform under the name Melandru, creating and DJing my own UK Garage-inspired music, and I create piano arrangements and covers through my project Kokoro Keys. I also run Tidal Waves, an events and weddings company where I create memorable musical experiences and work on the creative direction behind each event.
Through these different projects, I’ve gained experience in music production, performance, composition, branding, and storytelling — all of which I love bringing into my lessons.
