Lessons are full of activities, games and singing for elementary and beginner students.

Extra information

You will be required to print out the pdf scans of music sheets I send you prior to or after the lessons, and organize them in a neat folder for continued reference. And maintain a small personal practice diary or journal.

About Me

I love teaching students of all ages, levels, and abilities and have sufficient experience over my 15 years of teaching. My students have accomplished themselves as winners of national competitions and achieved distinctions in their examinations.

My focus, besides learning repertoire, is developing supportive musicianship skills based on the Hungarian Kodaly Concept of Music Education with the British Kodaly Academy, UK, Dalcroze, and Music Learning Theory, Gordon, USA. My interests lie in helping students achieve their expressive needs by aiding their technique in great detail and sparking their imagination too.

My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.

The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages.
