This class is aimed at anyone looking to increase their English-speaking and listening skills. Depending on the student's interests, the focus will shift from vocabulary expansion and sentence structuring to "accent" reduction. My goal is to be a talking partner with whom you can engage in significant conversations about any topic you are interested in. Whether you are getting ready for a trip or a presentation or if you just want to make sure you do not forget what you already know, practice makes perfect and I want to try to help you achieve your goals. I will pay attention whenever you are speaking and point out the mistakes (or "funny-sounding" phrases) in a polite manner after you finish speaking. That way I will not cut you off or discourage you from not being afraid of making mistakes (which we all make).

Hello! I'm Juliette, a French student at Leiden University in international relations. I really enjoy teaching so for the past two years I have been tutoring middle school children. I would really like to continue this, specifically by giving French lessons. I'll leave it up to you to choose the format, I can either walk around and do activities while having conversations in French, or I can also give more theoretical lessons to learn the basics. I'm very flexible on times, let me know what suits you best, and my classes are open to all ages and levels! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a message, and have a nice day!

The structure and the material of the lesson are formulated based on every pupil and his/her preferences while at the same time it can also be configured according to established music and piano methods. I also love to encourage my pupils to share their passion about specific music styles or pieces with me, in order to include them in the teaching process, by arranging them based on their skills. Important section of the course is the improvisation which aims to the independence of the pupil from the music score, the mastering of technical difficulties but also to the development of pupil’s creative thinking. Teaching preschool kids (4-6) is always a challenge but through my experience I have formulated a method in which the young pupils approach music with an enjoyful way. Through my guidance they become familiar with rhythm, ear training, singing, playing by heart short melodies with both hands, improvising, and at later stages they get introduced to music notation through games, drawing and other formats. All piano lessons are taught on a classical piano at my home studio and may take place also at your location.
