About Me

I am a creative, disciplined, and internationally minded violinist and music educator with a strong passion for teaching, artistic growth, languages, and intercultural communication. Having lived and worked in different countries, I value curiosity, adaptability, and meaningful human connection both in education and in music. I enjoy creating positive and inspiring learning environments where students can grow with confidence, creativity, and enjoyment while developing their own artistic voice.

Education

I completed my Bachelor of Music in Classical Violin at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium in the Netherlands, where I graduated with honors and specialized in pedagogy. During my studies, I received extensive training in violin performance, chamber music, orchestral studies, teaching methodology, and music education.

I later completed a Master of Music in Performance with orchestral specialization at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague under the mentorship of Japanese violinist Arisa Fujita. Alongside advanced performance training, my studies focused on artistic development, orchestral preparation, and academic research. In 2025, my predoctoral thesis was published by the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, reflecting my strong interest in artistic research, violin pedagogy, and musical interpretation.

Throughout my education, I also participated in masterclasses and advanced training programs with internationally recognized musicians and pedagogues, further shaping my artistic and educational approach.

Experience / Qualifications

I have several years of international experience as both a professional violinist and music educator in Spain, the Netherlands, and Japan. Alongside private teaching, I worked as a violin teacher at music schools in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, teaching students of different ages, levels, and cultural backgrounds in English, Spanish, and Dutch.

As a performer, I have collaborated with orchestras and ensembles across classical, jazz, film music, and intercultural projects. I have performed as concertmaster, soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral violinist in venues such as Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Konzerthaus Berlin. I have also collaborated with internationally recognized artists and projects including Jong Metropole, Metropole Academy, Snarky Puppy, and CineMusic Orchestra.

In addition to teaching and performance, I also gained experience in project management and music production through artistic and recording collaborations, developing strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills in international creative environments.

I specialize in teaching the violin for every age, both children and adults. I am a professional violin player, with over 40 years of experience and I have been actively performing on Japan's elite music arena. The very unique element of my violin lessons is that unlike other music schools, you will learn how to play violin from a professional musician who is active in Tokyo’s music scene. I also offer students special insight into performance, such as how to interact with the public or how to convey emotion to your audience. I have 10 years of experience in teaching music both in Japan and my native country, Romania.

I offer four types of courses:
1) Introduction Program: My first notes for complete beginners (children or adults) where I teach violin fundamentals.

2) Basic Program for violin beginners and for intermediate violin players who wish to refresh their technical skills. Some of the techniques taught in this program are bow fundamentals, advanced bowing, vibrato, color, and tones, posture, etc.

3) Custom Program: for any type of student, especially when preparing for a music competition, a concert or whether you wish to improve a specific part of your violin technique.

4) Special Program: Gypsy Violin Sound for learning all the valuable insights of the Gypsy style that I acquired throughout his long career as a Django jazz musician. Both amateurs and professional violinists are more than welcomed to take this course. The repertoire will be adapted to your level.
