A qualified language coach with 25 years of experience offers intensive Dutch lessons in a small class or online. I give many Dutch NT2 lessons to expats and in preparation for an integration exam. Specialized in guiding for the State Exam I and II. Special exam coach. In January 2025 I will also start with groups again. We have a great classroom in the center of Rotterdam, near metro station Beurs, lessons with small homogeneous groups (little difference in level). We mainly go for quality and not just running a lesson. I am really involved in the progress of the student. My name is Arjen. I tutor and give exam training in math and physics for upper secondary education (Dutch HAVO/VWO, IB, or other similar programmes). As an Aerospace Engineer, I help students not only with solving problems, but especially with understanding the “why” behind the theory. I start with a short diagnosis: where is the real difficulty? Based on this, I create a personal learning plan that I share with the student. In this way we work in a focused way on those areas where most is to be gained. During the sessions, the focus is on recognizing structure and analyzing problems step by step, so that students become more independent and their confidence gets a boost. In my explanations, I regularly use examples from technology and engineering. By linking abstract theory to real applications, it becomes clearer where the mathematics or physics comes from and what it is needed for, and things often suddenly “click”. I can give lessons both at home and via an online connection. In the latter case, I do this using a tablet, allowing you to follow my explanations and examples live on your screen. After the the lessons, I create personal practice exercises when needed, tailored to the student’s level and learning goals. My name is Daniil. I am a pianist and composer from Ukraine. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in composition, piano, and pedagogy at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2018 and my Master's in Music composition from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2020. The main power of music is in its ability to open up worlds of communication that are inaccessible otherwise. Therefore, in our lessons, we will use technical exercises, solfège, and music theory (if/when needed) to achieve the level of performance that will allow for the ultimate goal – having fun playing for or with your friends and family. Apart from working on your favorite pieces and classical repertoire, we will work on your skills of sight-reading and improvisation. We will also play pieces together, either on a piano in four hands or with me on the violin. I have almost ten years of experience teaching piano, composition, solfège, harmony and counterpoint, and music theory. Among my students were kids aiming for (and succeeding at) admission into higher music education institutions, conservatory students who needed help with their music theory and piano classes, and kids and adults who studied music in their spare time. No matter what your goal (or lack thereof) is for studying music, we will find an appropriate pace, structure, and repertoire. I am a native Russian speaker and can teach Russian to English speakers. I can help you to practice grammar, speaking, pronunciation, listening, writing skills. Also can help with learning Russian from the scratch, starting with the alphabet. During my lessons, I primarily teach my students not to be afraid to speak Russian. Before classes, I plan topics on which we can talk to expand our vocabulary, and be able to maintain a conversation on a variety of topics. Also, classes are held in a communication format, so that students learn to understand Russian speech, to be able to ask the questions, reflect on the topic, etc. Depending on the needs of the student, we study the fundamental grammar rules, which are most important for grammatical speech. To consolidate the material, we do various exercises and tests. Usually, these are texts with gaps that need to be filled. We also do oral exercises so that students can apply grammar rules not only in written assignments but also get used to applying them directly in their speech (which is sometimes a problem because we used to forget some rules in our spoken language). Since Russian phonetics is quite complicated, I also select various exercises for diction, adapting them for each student (which is always a lot of fun). I hope to see you on my lessons!

Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well.
