The recorder is an easy instrument to learn, making it a great opportunity for children to begin their musical journey. I will teach you how to produce the first sounds on your new instrument, how to blow correctly, how to adopt a good posture, etc. I will help you build, step by step, a solid basic technique that will allow you to play any piece on the flute.

I am Thijs (30) an experienced drummer and musician, with a wide range of musical interests. Studying jazz drums under the wings of Lander Gyselinck at the KASK/Conservatory in Ghent. In addition, I have followed masterclasses and lessons from/with Joey Baron (US), Kendrick Scott (US), Corey Fonville (US) and Stéphane Galland (BE). I am also active in various bands/groups.

My lessons, depending on the level, focus on both the fundamental building blocks of drumming and music as a whole. The Human Voice has an intimate and emotional connection with our physical body and mentality, whenever we express ourself through speaking, singing, improvising or simply long to express what words cannot, the voice is one of the most direct and authentic ways to connect with ourselves and with others.

Drawing on my professional training in Jazz Vocal at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, my background in Chinese traditional music, and years of personal practice in yoga and qigong, I have developed an organic, embodied approach to vocal expression. Rather than focusing only on vocal technique, I guide students to explore the relationship between breath, body awareness, deep listening, and the natural flow of energy (Qi). Through this process, the voice becomes freer, more grounded, and more expressive.

My lessons are open to singers of all levels, as well as anyone who wishes to reconnect with their voice.
