About Me

Learn to draw and paint with the discipline, clarity, and principles of the classical tradition.

I am a professional figurative painter and designer with an academic background in Industrial Design and extensive experience teaching both art and design. I trained in classical drawing and painting, including at the Grand Central Atelier in New York, and my work has been exhibited internationally.

My classes are designed for anyone who wants to develop a stronger understanding of drawing, painting, composition, light, colour, form and visual perception. Rather than simply teaching students how to copy what they see, I help them understand why an image works and how to make deliberate artistic decisions.

Whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced artist looking to strengthen your foundations, or an art/design student preparing a portfolio, the teaching is adapted to your individual level and goals.

Master's Degree in Industrial Design with specialization in automotive and product design from Coventry University, UK.
Classically trained in Grand Central Atelier, New York in drawing and painting.

In this course you will learn the practice and theory of drawing and painting. It covers shapes, forms, visual elements, value, and colour theory. You will apply this knowledge to exercises in still life, landscape, figure drawing, and portraiture. Any medium you wish to explore is welcome and materials will be provided. The course will be tailored to your preferred pace and level, although it will follow the basic structure provided above.

My course is dedicated to the 'basic' rules of drawing and after that finding your own path, your own style. If you know how to use perspective, composition, capture the right proportions, capture the volume and be attentive to detail, you are fully prepared for making any kind of art you are into. When we will reach this point, I will also help you to go further and develop your own style.

I will teach you how to work with visual observation, perspective, volume, light and shadow, composition, proportions, and sketching using graphic material.

In order to learn how to draw you need a lot of practice, so I will assign some homework as well. The course is suitable for people of all ages and with different aims, it is always possible to change the learning program for individual purposes.

The class is meant for those who wish to enter the world of performance art - an experimental art form that originated in the 1960s in the United States. My intention with the lessons is to teach a student how to begin an independent artistic practice as a performance artist through practical exercises, readings, and analysis of performances (on photos, video and in events we would visit together).

The basic theory and history of performance art are introduced so the student can get oriented in the respective art context. If desired, the class can go deeper in theory with the readings from the related field of Performance Studies. While performance ART is an artistic field, performance STUDIES is wider academic discipline working with the notion of performance not only in art but also in the sports, rituals, play, every day, sex, technology, business and elsewhere.

I base the class on my years-long artistic, theoretical and curatorial practices and on my education in the field (BA in Site-Specific Performance, ongoing MA in Live Art and Performance Studies, BA in General Art Studies).

We will start by discussing together the content of the course, according to your desires and needs.
I can offer courses in oil painting technique: preparation of the ideal canvas, method of applying color, working on the serif, glazing, etc. It is also possible to work with other types of paints, gouache or acrylic.
The structure of the course can also, according to the desires, consist of a work on the construction of the image, on the working methods according to observation (real / photo), on the imitation of materials and materials (marble, wood , textiles, flames, water, etc.), and much more.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

Actress graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and Professor responsible for TFE at the same Conservatory for 3 years now, I am passionate about my job.
I have given workshops to children in theaters and am currently giving them to a particular audience as part of art therapy.
