Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

Before our lesson I will send you a detailed information on the materials needed. If you're just starting and don't know how to get the materials - don't worry, I can share all materials needed to start and learn! Just let me know, what is best option for you! During our sessions, I will also give you necessary detailed advice to buy your own materials, because the best option is to work with your own brushes and pigments.

About Me

I was born in Warsaw. I graduated in Art History from the University of Warsaw, where I became fascinated with the art of the christian Orthodox Church and began to paint icons. In 2009 I started studying in Christian East Studium in Warsaw, and then I started working as a teacher of icon painting in 2013, in the workshop "The Way to The Beauty". In 2015 I decided to move to Belgium, where In found in Brussels the Academy of Icon Painting founded by Russian artist Irina Gorbunova-Lomax. I'm currently completing my studies there.
As a musician I graduated from the State High School of Music ‘Józef Elsner’ in Warsaw in the double bass class, and later, from the State High School of Music ‘Fryderyk Chopin’ in Warsaw, where I became a professional musician specialising in the viola da gamba. Currently, I'm studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, continuing my baroque music studies, playing the violone with James Munro.
During my artistic career, I had given concerts in Poland, Denmark, Germany and Italy with many groups of ancient, folk and traditional music, notably with ‘Collegium Musicum Bednarska’, ‘Lublin Castle Band “Alta”’, ‘Ærøfolkehøjskole Band’ and ‘Kukawica’.
In 2019, I also began studying instrument building at CMB Puurs, where I build violas da gamba of all sizes.

Private Painting and Drawing lessons, any level! I am a classically trained painter, I have been painting seriously for 20 years and studied intensively in Florence, Italy. I will teach you the basics about light, form, line, colour and space, and how to constantly grow and improve. We start with drawing from observation and continue to other mediums, including oil paint, once the student is ready.

Landscape, still life, portrait, expressive. My goal is to help my students improve every time and reach a new level. I provide many examples from art history as well as my own work, and give lots of demonstrations. I offer a personalized approach fitted to each student.

The classes are in a small group format, no more than 4 at a time and each student works at their own pace, it is private classes with other students present, offering a supportive environment in which to learn and grow. Each student receives personalized instruction at their own level. Each student is guaranteed to improve.

I ask for a commitment of 5 lessons at a time to see some improvement, and I accept students who are looking for longer term learning. Commitment is a must to grow! Try out one lesson to see if the class is a good for for you. My students tend to stay with me for the long term, if it is the right fit.

The classes take place in my studio in the charming location of Grand Hospice, a converted hospice in the city center of Brussels.

I'm a young professional in the film industry and have worked with partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef and WWF, as well as many musicians, architects, non-profit organizations and independent creators. My experience spans director, editor, DOP, assistant editor, focus puller, author, electrician and production assistant.

I studied Cinema at LUCA School of Arts Brussels and Supermedia at UMPRUM in Prague. My strength lies mainly in combining music and cinematography: experimental video art, arthouse films, music videos, and dance and music films. I also completed training in team coordination, so I can edit efficiently and stay organised.

I work both for large companies and the music industry, as well as on small, independent project, depending on whether the music speaks to me.

I'll teach you how to edit videos and films, for personal or commercial use. My software of choice is the full Adobe suite; for sound I use Ableton, and to a lesser extent Pro Tools.

I've completed several artistic residencies as part of my own practice and describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. My work has appeared in several international magazines with around 700,000 monthly readers, and has received international attention.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

We'll start off with basic anatomy of a variety of animals, since understanding their inner structure is essential for accurate drawing. In our session we will draw your tarot and oracle cards that you will choose from those I have and I will read them to you intuitively. You could ask a question that's stuck in your head on any topic and we'll take it slow and see what the cards have to offer.

I also have a lot of crystals at my house so you could also choose some and we can see what they say about you. If you wish, we can also do a small purification session before using sage or palo santo. Very calm and relaxed atmosphere, I offer you a little moment out of time, entirely focused on you and the things that concern you. Above all I'm a listening ear so don't worry. Want to learn how to draw portraits that look almost like a photograph? I can help you start with the base, the sketching, and how to blend using both colored pencils and graphite pencils. Also using pens, both ink and Bic.
