About Me

I’m a cellist from Mallorca, Spain, and I recently completed my Master of Music in Classical Cello at Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, graduating Cum Laude.

Alongside performing, I have more than three years of experience teaching cello to children and teenagers from 7 to 18 years old. I enjoy adapting lessons to each student’s personality, level and goals, whether they are just starting, want to improve their technique, prepare repertoire or simply enjoy making music.

For me, learning an instrument should combine good technical foundations with curiosity and enjoyment. I like to create a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting and developing their own musical personality.

I studied the bachelor in Madrid and then I came here to do the Master last year. At the same time that I was studying I started teaching, this was a revelation for me, I love and enjoy to teach and share what I know about music. What can i offer?

How do I work?
Each class will be individually prepared, in order to have the student goals in mind. In our first lesson we can get to know each other and then we will figure out what do you want and how can I help you.
For BEGINNERS I teach the bow, finger positions and other basics with easy songs (with kids I add games to make it more entreating). Such as relating painting with playing, dancing with playing or literature with playing.
For AVERAGE LEVEL we explore, with already some technique, how to play songs, finding a good sound and feel at ease with the instrument.

Extra activities:
Once a month I plan a rehearsal with pianist to work on some repertoire of cello and piano. Meetings with other students are also arranged to play duos together. It's very necessary to play with people and not get stuck in our own individual studies!

Either if you want to engage in a hobby or if you want to learn and develop your skills in a more serious way, I will adapt your lessons to your ambitions and desires towards your cello lessons. The duration of our lessons can be flexible according to the necessity or possibility of the student.

Other artistic situations can be offered depending on what you show through the lessons, as the participation in cello ensembles, preparation for competitions (for students who will take the cello further in their studies), preparation for other exams that the student may want to apply to out-side our lessons, as others which may be proposed by the student him-self.

There is also the opportunity to improve and practice your English, Portuguese, Spanish or Czech since these are the languages in which I can teach, according to the students preference.
