About Me

Hi! I’m a native French speaker and an International Business student in the Netherlands. Having grown up in an international environment, I know how useful it is to be able to communicate comfortably in another language — and how frustrating it can be when you understand a language but don’t feel confident speaking it.

I love meeting people from different backgrounds, travelling and discovering new cultures. I also really enjoy helping others learn, especially when I can make something that initially seems difficult feel simple and enjoyable.

I have experience tutoring students and helping them improve their French in a clear, practical and encouraging way. My goal is not simply to teach you rules, but to help you actually use French in real situations.

Depending on your level and goals, our lessons can focus on:

🗣️ Conversation and speaking confidence

🇫🇷 Everyday French and useful vocabulary

📚 Grammar explained simply and clearly

🎧 Listening and pronunciation

✈️ French for travelling and everyday situations

🎓 French for students and beginners

I adapt each lesson to your needs and level. We will spend plenty of time speaking, while I correct your mistakes and explain how to improve without interrupting the flow of the conversation too much.

Education

Currently studying International Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. I study in an international, English-speaking environment.

Experience / Qualifications

As French is my native language, I can help young students to improve their skills and get better grades at school by helping them with assignments, giving them tips or studying with them for a test. Just tell me what you want and I will adapt. If you are a (French) parent and want your children to learn your language and make French one of their mother tongue, I can also make sure they practice it and feel more comfortable.

Half German living in Brussels and having studied in an International School, I am fluent in French, English and German.
I am currently doing my masters in Rotterdam at RSM and would like to offer French and/or English classes to students. I believe communicating with students in the language they would like to learn is key if they want to become confident in the language. Hence, I suggest doing skype classes or real life meetings at home or outdoors depending on your preferences and talking together will be very helpful for the student to improve in a particular language. I will also help with homework, grammar and the theoretical side of the language if desired.
I have been a counsellor in summer camps in Canada where I had to teach small children aged from 5-15 English. Some of them didn't even know a single word of English when they arrived. It was very hard but we managed to get to know each other, communicate well and believe me, their English improved a lot.

I speak French at a level of B2. I am very open to helping young people get started with the French language. For example, I can help with preparing a French oral, writing a French letter and with other aspects of the language. I can also explain the grammar of course! If you have any questions about the class, please ask.

I give French lessons for people seeking to learn this language. French is my mother tongue, but I also know perfect English which can be helpful in case of difficulty. You can either ask for practical lessons, with only conversation or help with French homework, to understand how the grammar works. I can also help with learning how to spell.

Who? I am a twenty-eight-year-old French and U.S. Anthropology student. I am trained in FLE (French as a Second Language) and have worked for the National French Education Ministry as a Middle School Teacher on the beautiful island of Mayotte. Following that exotic experience, I decided to change course and study Anthropology all the while teaching French as a Second Language on a freelance basis. I moved to the Netherlands just recently and have decided to continue practicing as a French tutor. I have also tutored English classes in France for five years.

What? I offer French or FLE (French as a Second Language) courses based on multiple sources and I regularly renew them because it is important to be in adequacy with today's society. As I just started learning Dutch, I teach in English all the while aiming for 90% French during the class.

Where? Normally I go to the learner's home. For the moment, online courses are also popular.

When? I work every day of the week.
