History and politics have always been a passion of mine and I am very much willing to teach anyone who desires any tutoring. At times it can be very difficult and overwhelming if you need to make an exam or write an essay - I can be there to help in case you need guidance! The goal here would be to make you understand history better, organize patterns in your head and possibly make you love the subject! This should definitely help in either expanding your worldview, or enhancing your history grades. I am willing to teach history (or politics/maatschappijleer) in Dutch or English.

I have little preference in regard to eras or themes in history, but if you must know I especially enjoy political and military macro-history. The grand patterns throughout history fascinate me, with of course, attention to large events. No era or area is particularly strange to me, again, being able to process history is the goal here!

The grand goal is to get a basic, intermediate or advanced understanding in one of the subjects. I could, possibly, rehearse with you and ask you how fluent you are in the topics at hand. I am fully willing to adapt to the student his or her academic needs. In case you wish me to help you in structuring or writing a history essay, then this, too is no problem!

Having studied History throughout my academic life, both at school and at university, I now specialise in providing support for students of all ages.

Whether you're preparing for an exam and need structured, results-based teaching, or prefer to have a more casual environment for discussion, I offer an engaging range of lessons focussing around a variety of historical periods.

The lessons will focus on the periods of history that the student is primarily interested in, whilst also developing a greater understanding of the various historical methodologies that can be used more broadly when examining the chosen periods and themes.

In my third year of the history faculty at the Jean Moulin Lyon III University, I plan to enroll in a master's degree in medieval history. I want to write a research paper on the French and the Mongols in the 13th century. I would like to go on to write a thesis on the theme of Mongol incursions into Japan (1274 and 1281).
The sessions will aim to deepen or discover concepts about a period. I am comfortable with the era: medieval (especially from the 12th-13th century), modern (it all depends on the region and the century) as well as prehistory.
I am able to establish a progression curve, as well as adapt the lessons according to the need or simply in relation to the expectations of the student. If necessary, repetitions and accentuations on knowledge can take place.
Since I am not yet at the apotheosis of my studies, I will only offer these services to beginners or students (up to high school or first year of history school at the "maximum").
I can also offer help for tests related to the history dissertation or text commentaries, very famous and predominant exercises in studies in the history faculty.

History is a subject often considered uninteresting. But I try to design my course according to your needs, your difficulties and even facilities in order to create a course in which you will flourish.
Also, I am a student in History and therefore I can help you with the methodology and recommend several books to deepen your subjects.

The course will be divided according to the periods:

First, Ancient Rome, from Romulus to the death of Nero where we will study the different aspects of Roman life and its politics. We will also study Ancient Greece, also considered the cradle of history with its mythology, daily life and the wars that marked it.
The Middle Ages will be studied from the fall of the Western Roman Empire in 476. We will go through Clovis, religion but also royalty.
Then, we will study the modern era with plague epidemics, life under the old Regime and the different kings as well as their life at court without forgetting the wars of religion and absolutist reigns as well as the History of the English Revolutions .
Finally, the contemporary era (where I am most comfortable), where we will study the Catholic Church, the working world but also the global aspects of this period. We will also focus on the two world wars with the civilian impacts they had.

If you want a course on the HGGSP, we will follow the program according to the pace you study in class.
I would also like to train you orally, by doing some courses, by teaching you to master a PowerPoint and finally by teaching you the methodology of the dissertation, the presentation, the text commentary and finally the bibliography.

This class will support students studying history up to GCSE level by understanding exam structure and learning revision techniques to remember important dates. It will include engaging content to provoke interest in students and encourage them to ask questions to improve their knowledge of the subject.

I studied History at GCSE and A level, obtaining a Grade 7 and an A respectively. I also wrote an extended essay on Victorian History at A level, in which I obtained an A also. I have relevant experience working with children; I volunteered at a local youth club for two years and I have extensive experience with childminding. I worked as a Teaching Assistant during Sixth form in history classes so I have knowledge of teaching and student support. I also have a certified Level 3 safeguarding qualification.

Holder of a Literary Baccalaureate with honors, a Bi-license 2 in History and Political Science from the University of Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne, I then obtained a License 3 and a Master in Contemporary History at the University of Brittany -South (Lorient). This master's degree being devoted to a dissertation on contemporary religious history (60p, 14/20), I was then selected for an Erasmus year at the University of Friborg to specialize in religious sociology.

I have proven experience as a facilitator, educator and teacher (private lessons and classes), for several years. Beyond my studies, I constantly read new books and articles because in addition to History, I am also passionate about genealogy, political news and the human sciences in general. Like the teachers who inspired me and lit the flame within me, I know how to demonstrate a spirit of clarity and synthesis driven by the passion that drives me to contribute to forging responsible citizens in the service of the Common Good. I know how to build a relationship of trust and rigor with the learner to identify, assume and overcome possible difficulties together.

Son and brother of English teachers, I made several language trips abroad very early on (Ireland, USA) which taught me to express myself, according to many English speakers, without an accent. I maintain my bilingual level thanks to numerous films in the Original Version and regular travel. I have worked several times as an interpreter and private teacher, with success.

Thanks to my studies, my options in literature, linguistics and philosophy, my passion for classic authors and poetry, I write French without spelling mistakes and I only ask to transmit to you these rules which are those of the game the tastiest there is for the human spirit: expressing the best of oneself in the service of others.

History, English, and ancient history tuition from an Oxford ancient and modern history student. I love these subjects, but they can all be tough exams, especially at GCSE and A level. These subjects need both technique and subject knowledge, which can be difficult to combine. I am happy to work on techniques for any topic, though I'd appreciate if you send the exam board over beforehand.
