Bible and theology (Jewish, Christian) in Antiquity and the Middle Ages

Translated by GoogleSee original

From 112 C$ /h

The course will introduce students to the Bible and the two religions it founded, Judaism and Christianity.: presentation of the Torah and “the” Christian Bible (historical, philological, linguistic, literary, and theological approaches); of Judaism and Christianity, and of what is known as the “separation of ways"; of Christian theology through a selection of works and Latin texts from late antiquity and the Middle Ages, from the Passion of Perpetua and Felicity to Nicholas of Cusa. The relationship between the two religions will be studied with particular attention: it is necessary to honor the Jewish roots of Christianity and the chronological and ontological priority of Judaism.

About Me

Agrégation in Classical Literature. Doctorate in Latin Studies. DUET (Theology).
I give
* Courses in Latin language and literature, primarily for adults—students, working professionals, or retirees—who have a basic knowledge of Latin and wish to deepen their understanding of the language and Latin texts, whether for academic or professional purposes, or simply out of personal interest. Given my specializations (Late Latin, theology, Bible), the focus may be on Latin Christian literature. Beginner students (including those in their final year of high school) are, of course, very welcome.
*Courses in Bible and theology. Through my doctorate (on a Carthusian monk), my research (on Christian Latin literature from Antiquity to the Renaissance), my education (a University Diploma in Theological Studies), and my knowledge of Latin and Greek, I have a deep understanding of the Bible and theology that I wish to share.

High-level academic support for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. Specialized expertise in Late Latin and patristics

94 C$ /h

Latin, along with Greek, was one of the major languages of culture in antiquity, the Middle Ages, and up through the modern era, particularly in theology and philosophy. It is the language of ancient Rome, but also of the Western Catholic Church, medieval Christianity, theology, and philosophy. The language of Plautus, Ennius, Virgil, Cicero, Seneca, Tacitus, Apuleius, Lucretius, Ovid... but also of Perpetua, Tertullian, Egeria, Ambrose, Augustine, Jerome, Gregory the Great, Hrotsvita, Bernard of Clairvaux, Angela of Foligno, Francesco Petrarca, Thomas Aquinas, Descartes, Leibniz...
I will help you better understand and navigate this vast and fascinating linguistic and cultural universe. We will work systematically and progressively on the language and the texts. Each session is tailored to your research project or academic deadlines. I prioritize a rigorous approach to grammar and syntax, which is essential for the precise interpretation of complex texts. Drawing on my extensive experience, I offer specialized support for exam preparation ("ENS A/L" - "Agrégation").

Learn the methodology in dissertation and document analysis from middle school as well as high school.
This is what is present in History Geography and in the HGGSP specialty, and I offer courses aimed, in addition to helping the learning of courses in these subjects, to put it into practice in an exercise with a built methodology. It is this methodology that I teach, in order to provide the student with independence.
I can also provide homework help in these classes, as well as re-explain and repeat poorly understood course points.
As for speaking in public, it is necessary for the oral exams at the end of high school. I have been part of a debate group for 3 years and have acquired a certain mastery there.
I am a student in high school, in the final year and I already have experience in helping with homework in my high school. I also chose the HGGSP specialty (geopolitics and political science) in second and I obtained my baccalaureate in this subject.

The authenticity of an exchange. In a society increasingly rooted in a competitive approach, where automated exchanges with Artificial Intelligence cannot replace the need for human interaction, this is precisely what we lack.
As a lawyer by training and an independent legal consultant, creating "Le Droit" is a breath of fresh air. This private tutoring service is aimed directly at students and any adult who needs to overcome difficulties in studying the following subjects: French, Mathematics, Sciences, Philosophy, History, and Languages (English and Spanish). To be clear, these subjects will be studied up to the Baccalaureate level (General/Technological/Vocational).

Moreover, being currently preparing for the entrance exam to the National School of Magistrates and passionate about the beauty of multidisciplinary learning, the school program is being reviewed extremely regularly.

🎓 It is now necessary to elaborate somewhat on my experience:
4 years already dedicated to private lessons (which is significant) via the organization Complétude as well as independently (Law, French, Mathematics, Sciences, History and Languages), and this at all levels (primary, middle school, high school, university students and adults).

Regarding my teaching experience in legal subjects, I invite you to consult my other course offering dedicated to this subject and also published on Apprentus.

👋 What about my teaching approach, you might ask?
Beyond this desire for authenticity, it seems particularly important to dismantle the prejudices that poison the perception of students experiencing difficulties. To ensure the smooth running of this course and so that the student or adult feels as comfortable as possible, it is worth remembering that the foundation of all conversation and understanding remains listening. Listening to one's equal, regardless of age.

💬 Wouldn't you be interested?
Please feel free to contact me by message and I remain available to discuss the frequency of classes and their modalities (in-person in Tours, videoconference and possibility of travel if necessary).

In the meantime, ladies and gentlemen, students or interested individuals, it would be a real pleasure for me to accompany you as best I can on your path to success because, as its name indicates: you all have the Right to Knowledge! 😉

Do you want to improve your skills? Are you looking for effective help with your homework or your children's? Do you want to work in a calm, focused environment with specific goals? You've come to the right place! My name is Anna, and I'm a Political Science student at the University of Rouen. Passionate about teaching and education, I offer personalized tutoring for students from elementary school (CP) to middle school (3ème), primarily in French and History-Geography. For high school students, I also offer methodology courses for subjects like History, Geography, Geopolitics, and Political Science (HGGSP) and oral exam preparation.
To make your daily life easier, I also offer occasional babysitting services for children from 5 years old (ideal for combining end-of-day care and learning).

To guarantee a breakthrough and consistent progress, each session is structured in a fluid manner:

Step 1: Understanding - We review the lesson together to ensure that the basics and essential concepts are fully understood.
Step 2: Apply – The lesson is broken down through concrete examples and guided application exercises. Step 3: Develop independence – The student completes exercises independently, followed by an interactive peer review to understand any errors.

Because we learn best when we feel confident, I am committed to providing a calm, studious, relaxed, and supportive environment. No stress, no judgment: we progress together, at the student's pace, to boost their grades and self-confidence!
