About Me
I am Evangelyn, a Licensed Professional English Teacher with a Master of Arts in Education, Major in English (with Distinction), and more than thirteen years of teaching experience across secondary, tertiary, and international ESL contexts. I currently serve as a Junior and Senior High School Teacher at Eduardo Barretto Sr. Integrated School, where since 2018 I have spearheaded literacy programs that improved reading comprehension scores among junior high students. I have mentored over fifty senior high school students in academic research, producing award-winning outputs at division conferences, coordinated research-related activities and trainings to foster evidence-based teaching among faculty, and designed inclusive instructional innovations to enhance learner engagement.
My professional recognition includes being a Stage 2 Qualifier and Cluster 1 Awardee for the Gawad-Calambayani Outstanding Secondary Teacher-Researcher, presenting at the 2023 National Literacy Conference with my study on inclusive education for special education learners during the pandemic, and earning multiple awards at the Division Research Conference from 2019 to 2023, including four Best Paper Awards and recognition as Best Oral Presenter.
