The courses are varied, to be defined according to the needs of the student. We will define objectives upstream, and look for the most appropriate learning tools and techniques on a case-by-case basis. The idea is to acquire not only concrete knowledge, but especially the self-confidence necessary for the development of one's intellectual curiosity in the long term. I will teach you to be a teacher!

About Me

After 6 years teaching scuba diving and English abroad (Asia, Central America, North America, Europe), I am now a director of short films. Passionate about philosophy, author of a novel published in 2014 by Editions Edilivre, I am thoughtful, curious and quick-witted. I studied psychology, sociology and philosophy as self-taught, and am a big fan of the Montessori school. As a teacher, my principle is empowerment and self-confidence: I do not teach to know, I teach to learn. Rule number one: above all, no anxiety. Learning is in essence a cerebral need - that is why it must be above all a pleasure.

Education

Literary Baccalaureate, then several years of traveling around the world teaching languages and scuba diving. I also have a lifeguard diploma, BAFA, and I studied self-taught psychology, sociology and philosophy.

Experience / Qualifications

Author of a novel (Parts of Being, Editions Edilivre, 2014) and now director of several short films, I have several projects in progress, and I believe life is an eternal learning ...

University English Instructor| Started teaching English 9 years ago| Specializing in Conversational English.

My teaching approach is designed to develop communication skills above all. We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, caricatures, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. However, this doesn’t mean that we just practice speaking. I also make sure the learner is not running in circles. I’m here to ensure that they do not keep repeating the same mistakes or keep using the same expressions over and over in conversation.
In order to keep making progress, I take my student on a journey that involves:
• Improving their grammar.
• Fixing their pronunciation.
• Enriching their vocabulary by learning to use new words and common idioms.
By the end of this course, you should be able to speak English fluently and confidently.

PS: Because of my academic specialty, I also help with academic writing and creative writing.

It is true that the philosopher is the friend of wisdom, but above all, he is someone who does not want to make mistakes in reasoning. Philosophizing is a way of reasoning and a way of solving problems that will never have a perfect and definitive solution. Knowing the distance between the Earth and the Moon is not a problem of philosophy, because it is enough to measure to solve it. On the other hand, knowing, for example, what justice is, is a problem of philosophy. A meter will not be able to help us know the answer. We must go about it differently, and in the courses I offer, I will teach you how.

You will learn

- text reading strategies
- case studies with the aim of learning from experts
- methodology in philosophy
- writing an essay
- writing a text commentary
- a work on the philosophers of your choice
- an overview of the history of philosophy
- the general culture necessary to be able to philosophize

I will adapt to your individual needs. Each course is tailor-made. We will analyze where your difficulties lie and together develop a course program that will make you perform as quickly as possible. The basic principle of the courses I offer is dialectics, like Plato's dialogues: reflecting together, making theoretical contributions, asking questions and seeking answers, and testing the validity of reasoning.

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching German using the philosophy methodology, having studied philosophy at the Master's level at Aix-Marseille University. It turns out that the analytical mind is very useful even outside the confines of philosophy. Today, there are even fields of activity such as management with philosophy or philotherapy. In recent years, some German students have asked me to also teach them philosophy courses, and that is why I decided to offer philosophy courses directly.

I look forward to meeting you during a first lesson.

In English language classes, the teacher never explains in Arabic unless the child specifically asks for the Arabic meaning of a word. For science, his teaching style is simple and engaging; the children enjoy the curriculum with him, and he tries to explain things in various ways. I assist him with homework after class, which is a significant advantage of his teaching style.
