Hi there! I'm a Spanish teacher with over 20 years of experience working with students of all levels, ages, and backgrounds.

My goal as a tutor is to help you learn Spanish in a practical and natural way, using real-life situations that you can apply to everyday conversations.

Education

I hold a Teaching Diploma (Magisterio) from the University of the Balearic Islands (Universitat de les Illes Balears), as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) from the University of Cantabria.

I also have a C1 level English certificate from the British Council, which allows me to support English-speaking students effectively during their Spanish learning journey.
In addition to Spanish, I also speak French, which helps me better connect with students from different linguistic backgrounds.

My method is based primarily on a communicative and progressive immersion approach. The idea is to use Spanish from the beginning, always adapting to your level, and gradually reduce the need to translate everything into your native language.

If a word you don't know comes up during a conversation, before resorting directly to a translation, we'll try to understand it through context, synonyms, examples, images, gestures, or simple explanations in Spanish. This way, you'll also learn to use your existing knowledge to navigate situations where you can't find the exact word you're looking for.

The classes can combine conversation, listening comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar, but trying to work on these elements within situations where you might actually need them.

We can practice everyday situations such as introducing yourself and meeting people, shopping, ordering in a restaurant, going on a date, traveling, running errands, communicating at work, or having conversations with greater confidence.
