My name is Chiara, I'm a native Italian speaker and I work as a freelance translator and interpreter. I have a Master's Degree in Specialised Translation. I have been teaching Italian, French, Spanish and English for over 6 years, to both adults and children. In 2016/17, I worked as an Italian and Spanish teacher for adults at an Agency of the European Union while I was living in Strasbourg, France. In the year 2021, I extended my experience to children as well and started working as an English teacher for primary school children of all ages in Bologna at Educraft language school. I fluently speak all four languages and I use them in my everyday life since my clients come from all over Europe. Of all the work experiences I have had, teaching to children is definitely the one that satisfied me the most. I enjoy teaching to bilingual children and help them overcome the challenges of having a bilingual brain. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
