About Me

A former student of CPGE AL (literary preparation for the grandes écoles) at Jules Ferry (Paris 9) where I took intensive courses in philosophy, French, English, French and English literature, Japanese, history, geography, ancient culture, Latin and ancient Greek for two years, I acquired a very strict and serious methodology to prepare for the written and oral exams of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), while staying at the Jean Zay Boarding School (Paris 16) specifically designed to support CPGE students from all backgrounds.
I subsequently obtained my bachelor's degree in philosophy from the prestigious University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 5), where I also did my Master's degree in political and contemporary philosophy with internationally renowned professors.

With the many extra-curricular sports activities (swimming, judo, volleyball, aikido) and artistic culture (pottery, theater, classical, neo-classical, contemporary dance, singing, piano, cello, music theory, musical analysis, musical culture, chamber music) that I pursued during my school years, I acquired a diversity of knowledge, as well as the perseverance and determination necessary to pursue higher education in the field of research in human sciences.

Through my many travels (United States, Japan, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Romania, Poland), and after having lived abroad for a year, I consolidated my knowledge of Turkish, but especially of English, in addition to opening my mind to different cultures and know-how.

My passion for general, literary and philosophical culture, as well as for languages, is combined with popular culture (films, series, manga, animated films and series) that I use in my lessons to make them more fun and understandable when the student needs it.

Regarding my methodology:

- An initial telephone interview with the parents and/or the student to get to know us and determine the difficulties, expectations, needs and objectives to be achieved.

- Feedback on the course to understand where the student is and what needs to be worked on and explored in more depth while restoring confidence and determination.

- In philosophy: work on definitions, concepts, philosophical references, on texts and authors, review of lectures on themes in the baccalaureate program or midterms and CPGE exams, complete revision of the methodology for written and oral exams, debates and discussions on philosophical questions, as well as dissertation practice and text explanations taken from past exams, without forgetting the corrections of their homework.

- In French and literature: work on spelling with dictations, on written expression through brevet-type essays taken from past papers, or more fun ones at the start of middle school, work on literary works, revision and conjugation and grammar exercises, and complete review of written and oral methodology as well as concrete training in thematic and linear literary analysis, on text commentaries and essays on works in the high school program. In the second year in particular, I add the study of literary movements, registers and genres, as well as the vocabulary of theater and poetry.

- In English: learning vocabulary, conjugation and irregular verbs, work on written expression with essays and oral expression with discussions or debates, work on oral comprehension through dictations, and training for the baccalaureate using literary texts or articles.

I constantly adapt to the needs and difficulties of the students to make learning serene and fun, always in a good mood, often laughing, but also serious. I also take care to pay close attention to the mental health of the students, reassuring them and listening to them about their mistakes, their future, or any personal situation. If parents wish, I provide them with a complete assessment of the lessons and progress. As for the students, I do not hesitate to review with them what they want, to answer their questions, and to re-explain to them what they have forgotten or misunderstood.
