I am a professional FIDE-rated chess coach and former international player with over 30 years of experience in competitive chess and teaching. I have competed in top tournaments across Europe, Asia, and Australia, and my students have won national, Asian junior titles, and represented their country at the Chess Olympiad.

My teaching style is patient, structured, and goal‐oriented: I build strong basics first, then develop strategy, calculation, and mental toughness — suitable for absolute beginners up to advanced tournament players. I enjoy helping learners of all ages unlock their potential, and I adapt my methods to match each student’s pace and goals.

Improve your chess through a structured training programme built around your own games, goals and recurring mistakes.

I work with ambitious juniors and adult players from beginner level to approximately 1900 online. Lessons can cover game analysis, calculation, candidate-move selection, tactical awareness, positional understanding, practical endgames, opening structures, time management and tournament preparation.

Each lesson combines clear explanations with practical exercises. After the lesson, you receive annotated study material, targeted homework and a specific training objective for the following week.

For junior students, I can also provide parents with regular written progress updates. Before the first lesson, please send me your current rating and two recent games so that I can prepare an individual assessment.
