About Me

"THAT WASN'T SINGING. THAT WAS PAINFUL ."

Not something any aspiring singer wants to hear but there I was, aged 18, being judged at a talent contest by some minor kids tv celebrity whose own star was so rapidly declining he thought he'd take a pop at being a Z List version of Simon Cowell.

It didn't matter that he had zero qualification as a singer himself, and it didn't matter that the rest of the judging panel disagreed with him (I can't even remember what nice things they said.) It didn't matter because this guy had made me feel humiliated and ashamed of my voice in front of an entire room full of people. And he did it for laughs. For the bants.
How was I going to make it as singer if I couldn't even sing one song without getting laughed at??

Fast forward 15 years later and I'm the one laughing. I've travelled to some of the most beautiful places, performed on stages around the world, and sang in front of hundreds of people night after night. And the best part? I spend my days doing what I love AND getting paid for it! 🤑🤑🤑🤑

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.
