I offer individual violin lessons for beginners, advanced players and music students.

My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In my teaching, I convey not only technical fundamentals but also stylistic understanding, phrasing, articulation, and the characteristic sound of Baroque music.

In addition, I naturally also teach the classical violin repertoire. Lessons cover playing technique, bowing, intonation, vibrato, scales, musical expression, and efficient practice.

I have a BMus 1st Class (Hons) in Violin from the Royal Northern College of Music and over 10 years of experience working as a freelance violinist. Previously, I’ve worked in both school and private settings, including for both MAPAS (Salford Music Service) and Wigan Music Service. I was also a co-founder of the Manchester Violin School.

I perform regularly with various ensembles and orchestras, including the Cassia String Quartet and Rylands String Quartet, in both classical and more popular settings.
