Hello! My name is Egor, and I am a pianist, composer and music producer.

My main activities are teaching piano, composing music and performing at various concerts. Also, I produce music (from the original idea: lyrics, harmonies, etc. to sound-design and distribution).

I have bachelor’s and master’s degrees by the program of performing on the piano in the music theatres as an academic pianist and an artist. I am a winner of regional and international music competitions.

In my classes I teach not only beginners but intermediate and advanced piano players. Even though you are not looking for a professional piano career, learning music is the great possibility to improve your various kinds of skills. You will become more confident in communicating with people, you will be able to meet new people who’s also obsessed with music and art, and furthermore you will be able to create your own pieces and songs.

In teaching I combine classical and modern approaches in order to accomplish our mutual goals with a student. It includes the dialectical method of teaching by the very honourable piano teacher and pianist Heinrich Neuhaus. Also, in my lessons I connect teaching piano with psychology so that we are able to achieve the best result.

My fortune was to discover the piano because I was the type of a person who always thought that the music world is closed for regular people. And that was the point that I hadn’t taken piano lessons when I used to be a child before I started it only in my 20's. Now, I am a professional pianist, teacher and composer who has won regional and international musical contests. These days I teach many students all over the world from Los Angeles to Warsaw. Also, I released a couple of piano and electronic albums.

I have a systemised course of studying music that includes following themes:

1. Elementary Theory of Music;
2. Classic and jazz harmony;
3. Creating an accompaniment for your favourite songs;
4. Embodiment of an artistic image;
5. Basic performing skills.

About Me

I am obsessed with teaching piano. There is a popular statement that any good performer could be a good teacher. I don’t think that is true – teaching piano is a different activity. I am a qualified specialist of education, and I am into all the difficulties that piano teachers/coaches/tutors are going through.

I would say that the most significant of my skills of teaching piano is mixing various methods from various kinds of arts and science. I use psychology and cognitive science in my lessons in order to accomplish better results. For example, I use the practice of mindfulness and techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy in the process of learning new pieces, etc.

It is a pleasure for me to meet new students all over the world. And, after these years of teaching, I can say that there are no difficulties we can not overcome with a student.

As a Certified teacher on the official RSL Awards Teacher Registry (MusicTeacher.com), I can now offer the RSL Classical Piano programme - a well-established international piano qualification, equivalent in level to ABRSM but with more flexibility.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I also develop and use adapted teaching materials and exercises that match the student's level and progress. By regularly reviewing and adjusting the exercises and techniques, I ensure that students build a solid technical and musical foundation.

In addition to learning to play existing pieces, I also focus on understanding music. Therefore, students in my lessons are also introduced to elements of music theory, so that they better understand how music is structured. This helps them practice more independently, learn new music faster, and develop a deeper insight into music.

My goal as a piano teacher is to create an inspiring learning environment in which students can develop musically, discover their creativity, and grow step by step as musicians. Playing the piano is not only a technical skill but also an art form through which people can express emotions, ideas, and stories. At my studio my students will not only learn how to play the piano, but they will receive a complete musical education in order to achieve their musical dreams. But if the profile and the interests of the students goes on another way, I will give them all the tools they need to understand the language of music in depth, so they can find their own voice on the instrument. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages.

Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.

I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student.

I use my own piano during lessons to clarify everything visually and audibly.

Hello! My name is Jade. I’m an undergraduate student and have been playing the piano for 15 years; I graduated from the Geneva Conservatory.

In my lessons, I focus on practice and improving technique. Although I have prepared lessons and pieces, I give my students a great deal of freedom in choosing their sheet music, the intensity of their lessons, and the type of instruction they need. I see the piano as a passion and, above all, an art form which, as such, shouldn’t become a source of stress or frustration. We’ll make progress through small successes and can explore a variety of genres, from classical music to songs, pop, and even film scores.
