I am working as a staff pianist in the conservatories of Den Haag and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Due to the current circumstances I give only online lessons.
I offer piano lessons for any level or age, the only wish is that you try to practice regularly between the lessons. For the rest, I am happy to help you to achieve any goals/fulfill any dreams you might have about piano playing!
Also I am specialising on coaching the rhythm/timing for professional and amateur musicians. I work mostly with singers, but the instrumentalists are also welcome shall anyone have questions! For the rhythm coaching I am working on the piece you are working on and you have questions/difficulties with it.

About Me

On the first lesson I like to find out what are my student's wishes to achieve in music playing. Whether you think you have a talent or you think it's possible or not - I think the best is to go the way that is interesting for you.
On the lesson I'm happy if you ask questions or share what challenges you experience - from there I know how I can be the most useful as a teacher.
But of course when you feel stuck and don't know what can be improved - I have always my ideas on what can be done nicer!
I don't like to aim for perfection, rather I like that we achieve things every lesson that are developing you (and often, also myself) as a musician and a person.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.

I offer piano lessons for adults and children, tailored to your goals and preferences. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted in English, German and Russian. I teach piano at home in Vienna’s 3rd district and online on a beautiful Yamaha piano.

I have a full class of 13 students. Each semester, I organize a recital. If they wish, even my online students can take part through a live stream :)

I am an award-winning pianist in international competitions, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (BA), and currently a student at the Anton Bruckner University in Austria (MA).

I have developed my own teaching methodology, which varies depending on the student's age, skill level, and preferences. With extensive teaching experience for both adults and children, I have completed pedagogical practice and a piano teaching methodology course at the Moscow Conservatory.
