I am happy to teach either classical or pop, and am happy to teach anywhere: the student's location, my location, or a webcam - whatever is easiest and comfortable. These classes will include exercises for technicality, as well as learning the context and history of pieces/songs, and creative interpretations.

I am an advanced level, grade 8 saxophonist with over ten years of experience playing in bands. I have a track record of providing excellent teaching over a range of subjects, including music theory and drumming. I have also taught in children's art groups. I am a recently graduated student in English Literature and I'm looking to teach in the future, so this would be an excellent opportunity for me to teach saxophone to beginners.

Music is a great Creative outlet for children and adults alike. Music is a tool to help with concentration and boost a child's confidence.
In Play music makers we take a holistic approach in our teaching. Come to us to learn music theory basics, music composition, singing, piano, flute, recorder or violin.

As a pianist, musicologist and composer, I am passionate about music and I tend to cover the maximum amount of subjects inside music in my lessons. I don’t only teach how to play piano, but I explain, in the most suitable way for my students, how music works, the theory of music, how to create music and your own songs, where do concepts come from, the relationship between intervals and harmonies, etc.
I love asking my students which are their favourite activities and their favourite pieces of music so we can learn them together or arrange them together. I’m always open to teach other instruments to my students or to sing. My music lessons are about having fun while learning.

Audio recording
if done in right manner and with right mic-ing techniques will not depend merely on post production for it's enhancement. This consists of closed mic-ing and open mic-ing, where to use different aspects and how to apply them. For example using small diaphragm microphones for snare and larger ones for vocals.

Piano
It is the best tuned instrument that there is in the whole library. So, learning piano not only helps you to just play piano better but you can also do better in vocals, guitar, flute and other instruments. It's a go for anyone who is fond of music and wants to learn a instrument.

Music composition
This module aims to develop the students’ compositional ability using a combination of key musical understanding and the practical use of music creation software. Students will have the opportunity to investigate technical and stylistic conventions across a range of contemporary western popular music genres and to study key elements such as chord progressions, structure, harmony and melody, to develop their confidence and own abilities in composition.

These sessions will explore musical composition techniques used in popular and contemporary music. The focus will be on deconstructing different works, exploring what their musical elements are and investigating what commonality these have across the boundaries of genre or instrumentation. Students will have experience of composing original musical elements and arranging these elements into complete compositions.

I am a classically trained pianist with a versatile approach to teaching. I share my passion and experience of music, sparking imagination and inspiring creativity of my students.
Throughout my teaching career (over 10 years) I have always strived to help students of different ages and abilities to achieve their best. I’m Paloma, I’m a film and videogame music composer, pianist and violist. I give classes in music language, music theory, harmony, and composition from classical to film, piano, and viola. My students are any age, any level from beginner to advanced. I will help with exams, GCSE, and A-Levels, as well as help students obtain their grade 5 theory to advance and take higher grades in composition or viola.

I started teaching when I was 17 years old. While I was studying viola and composition I would help colleagues learn Harmonic Theory for University exams or just for fun. Whilst studying, in order to support my learning abroad, I started teaching children and teenagers. The classes included a wide variety, from; supporting their studies during the school year, to their first approaches to music as well as nurturing love and excitement for playing and making music. After University I continued giving classes during the last few years.

The compositional strand of training if a student wishes to undergo it has many elements we will learn the theory needed to competently make music learn systems that allow us to break down composition as well as multiple genres. work they can do by themselves at their own pace, allowing each student to work and grow at a rate suited to their ability.
-Building a strong understanding of melodies and chords and how different instruments work and support each other.
-If they are studying in a formal educational establishment, they will receive support and guidance in regard to their work and exams.

When I am giving classes in music language, viola, piano... to children, I always try that the classes will be dynamic but at the same time incorporate a little bit of Theory. I utilised exercises that are designed to engage young developmental minds, like those you’d find on a children’s show. For example, singing, playing... songs allows us to train the ears and help them to begin to recognise the different registers, notes, rhythms and tempo. This was done alongside training on their chosen instruments, my aim was and is to nurture a language of music as well as give them practical skills and exercises they can do on their own. I play the piano and viola, so I always try to support them.

When it comes to classes for teenagers I teach them theory and practice as well as strong fundamentals but I also allow time to let them lead their learning to give them more agency, allow them to learn their favourite /contemporary songs. This keeps the passion for music alive. With teenagers, my approach centres on elevating and reinforcing what they learn from school using exercises and providing tools to break down ideas musically. In addition, I also prepare for GCSE and A-levels.

Lessons will follow a path of progression, teaching them how to approach the next levels of theoretical and practical competence. Allowing the students to understand their Progression and their path forward increases the likelihood they will continue studying.

Lessons are flexible, and curated on a student-to-student basis as well as making sure to incorporate what I believe they need to achieve the next level.
