Violin is an extremely versatile instrument which sounds great when applied to any genre of music. From Pop to Rock to Jazz and Folk, the Violin will always add more flavour and spice to any song! However with so many experts telling us that Violin is one of the hardest instruments to learn, it can feel quite daunting to take the plunge and commit to learning. I am here to tell you that it really doesn't have to be that way!

I have tailored these classes to those more self indulgent learners who want a relaxed and easy learning experience without feeling like you are expected to become a virtuoso violinist in the Classical world.

I will also teach you how to read music and get to grips with some essential music theory.

I am an avid Violinist, professional and general music lover. I currently live in Istanbul. However I come from Yorkshire in England. I am as enthusiastic about other people's interests as much as my own and love to meet and learn about other people.

I have been trained in both Classical and Folk music and have experience performing with various groups in (Folk, Jazz, even Punk Rock Electric Violin) as well as Classical ensembles and Orchestras.

In 2017 I was awarded as winner of the 'Rotherham Young Musician of the Year Awards'.

Aside from teaching and performing, I have also worked for many artists as a session musician in the studio adding strings to their albums, EP s and singles. I love my job and having the opportunity to meet fellow musicians and enthusiasts.

Violin and viola learning for adult beginners and returning players or in the band

I have been teaching adult beginners and intermediates to play the violin and viola for 10 years. The focus is very different. One person would like to find relaxation in playing the violin. Another would like to be able to play a certain piece because he likes it. A third has picked up the violin again after a long time.

I have had violin lessons for > 10 years and am currently studying viola at the Conservatory of Bolzano. I have 10 years of teaching experience.

I teach classical and electric violin, always tailored to the student. The lessons can also be carried out using the Suzuki method.

Based on my band experience with violin/viola, I am also a contact person if you play violin or viola in a band.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.

My name is Daniela, and I am a cross-over violist from Costa Rica. I moved to the Netherlands in 2020 to pursue my studies at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music (Viola). I am currently continuing my journey at Codarts with a Master's degree in Latin Music.

During my time in the Netherlands, I have been part of a wide range of musical projects across different genres — from classical orchestras and chamber music to pop, jazz, and world music collaborations. I've performed with ensembles such as the Jong Metropole and recorded with various pop, jazz, and fusion bands. I am also the bandleader of my own Latin project, La Reunión, and work as a freelance musician with diverse musical groups.

Before moving to the Netherlands, I studied Music Education at the University of Costa Rica and worked for several years as a private teacher. I have experience teaching violin and viola to both children and adults.

I am a professional musician and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students.
Throughout my career I had the satisfaction of studying with great masters of different specialties or styles, each one emphasizing different aspects of flamenco, classical or modern guitar and each one has given me their approach (technique, rhythms, accompaniment, harmony, etc.), which has led me after years of study and compilation to take the best from each one to develop my method.

My role in my classes is more that of a personal trainer than a teacher, where I will be very attentive to bringing out the best in my students, finding the right technique to help them develop a good rhythm, working on their rhythm, etc.
For me, the role of a teacher, in addition to teaching, is to be part of a team, to maintain morale and constantly improve oneself while always maintaining a love for music.

Methodology:
I tailor the lessons to the student's level, style, or goals. Generally, the first half of the lesson is dedicated to technique, focusing on proper placement, execution, and relaxation, which will result in a good sound. Over time, I've realized that it's also a way to connect with the guitar, concentrate, and warm up. So, little by little, we'll develop our routine, which will begin by working on basic rhythmic aspects.
The second half is dedicated to playing, trying to put into practice what we learned about the technique with the sticks or studying other concerns of the student, which may be a theme, harmony, falsetas, improvisation, or even other styles, etc., always obviously taking into account the search or interest of the student.

I offer individual violin lessons for beginners, advanced players and music students.

My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Hi, I'm Stephanie, professional violinist and teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience, working with students from young beginners through to ATCL diploma level. I trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège in the Franco-Belgian violin tradition and currently perform with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

My teaching combines strong technical foundations with listening, musical curiosity and confidence. Growing up in Hong Kong, I began my own violin studies with the Suzuki Method, and I am now continuing my training in Suzuki pedagogy.
