Hello, I am Tara, a professional violin player and teacher. I have absolved my degrees in Italy, Croatia and Germany and have a lot of experience in teaching from ages of 5 up to 70. I am also an active player, in orchestra, chamber music or solo. Due to pandemic I started teaching all of my students online and realised, that too can work fantastic! So, whether you are a teenager or an adult, a beginner or an advanced player, I would very much like to meet you and show you how to becomme an even better violin player and have fun with your instrument. My methodology is to base myself on the courses in a structural and clear way, accessible to my learners to give them quality teaching and a total understanding of the courses in a cordial and satisfying atmosphere.

Wolof is the most spoken language in Senegal, Gambia where it has been enriched by the contributions of other dialects, Arabic and French, which remains the official language. It is experiencing a cultural expansion in the country and is also present in Gambia and Mauritania.

So to facilitate your integration into Senegalese society; it is essential to go through this language because it is the vernacular although there are several beautiful local Senegalese languages but Wolof remains the most used language. this is why I propose to teach the beauty of this language which is my specialty and my mother tongue, I also teach Senegalese and Gambian culture and civilization.

Learning Wolof offers anyone who wishes to get to know Senegal, in a professional, cultural or touristic context, to establish privileged contact with its population.

My method is very simple, I start by teaching you the most common and used words and expressions. Then slowly the formation of sentences, conjugation, grammar but also you how to pronounce each word well and know their positions in the sentence.
Thanks to my very simple and effective teaching methodology, the student can manage to form sentences in Wolof very easily from our first lesson.

I teach Gambian Wolof dialect and senegalese Wolof dialect.

I also want to inform my learners that apart from online courses, I organize language visits and tours in Senegal; for those who wish to travel in order to practice and discover Senegal with special packages.

My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In my teaching, I convey not only technical fundamentals but also stylistic understanding, phrasing, articulation, and the characteristic sound of Baroque music.
