Hello, my name is Sabine! I'm a soprano, actor, and singing teacher educated in multiple styles. I hold a degree in Vocal Performance (Classical + Pop/rock) & Musicology, and finished my studies at Fontys AMPA (Opera). I have also trained as an actor (film & theatre) at the Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam.

My lessons are entirely tailored to your personal wishes. We begin with a discussion about what you'd like to learn, and we work toward your own ideal voice and sound. We can choose classical, operatic, popular, or musical repertoire - or other styles that interest you. The focus is always on healthy, sustainable technique. You can also choose to work on different elements: we can focus only on singing technique, but also on performance or dramatic skills, song interpretation, audition preparation, your speaking voice, stage fright..all questions are welcome!

I am American and a native English speaker, and I teach in English. I'm not yet fluent enough to teach fully in Dutch, but I can understand quite some Dutch - so I won't be lost if you sometimes need to use Dutch words to communicate :)

About Me

I am a kind teacher, and patient with children. I try to get to know each one of my students personally, so I can adapt my teaching style to what suits them best - in this way we can achieve fantastic results! I am truly passionate about singing, and finding the right techniques to help a student open up his or her voice.
For me music is about finding joy - so I like to get creative in my lessons and encourage students to 'think outside the box,' try unexpected approaches, and surprise themselves.

Hi, I'm Federica, I am Italian, and I am a Jazz piano player and singer. I studied at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and I just completed a master in Vocals and Piano at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I give Jazz/Pop/Classical Piano lessons but my main goal is to try to give the student a general understanding of the music to approach every style and to have fun with music! I love to work with children, I like to teach them good values like patience, self-confidence, trust, communication, and collaboration, all through music. That's what I learn every day by studying music and that's what I would like to transfer to my students. I've been told that If you have music in your life, you can't be a bad person. Singing is a universal language. Everyone loves to sing, whether you are good at it or not.

In this lesson you will learn to use your own voice better. Whether you've been singing for 10 years or are completely new to singing. With warm-up exercises I teach you your vocal techniques and we apply them at the end of the lesson in the song that you like to sing. We will talk about breath support and flow, ringing, the sound of your voice and how to use it, etc. But in addition, these lessons are mainly about having fun and discovering your voice!

My teaching method meets the student's needs. Above all, I try to make people keep their passion and taste for music and my main goal is to make music or art a pleasure and not a sacrifice.

I motivate students, showing them the benefits of exploring their unique talents, but also not hiding the need for continuous work and with some obstacles, sometimes difficult, to overcome.

I let the students bring their own musical choices and, over time, I also recommend material that I think may be useful for a faster, simpler, and more efficient evolution.
As I said, I focus on the pleasure of singing but also on the technique that allows us to achieve the best results with less effort.

I completed my conservatory training in Jazz Singing at the CvA, but I have worked in many other genres in recent years. I also studied guitar at the Conservatory and obtained my propaedeutic diploma there, after which I switched to singing at the Conservatory. .

In class we focus on what you want. I can teach you everything about singing, guitar, but also about music theory, song-writing, and playing other instruments such as bass guitar, piano and drums.
I teach everyone, from beginners to people who want to prepare for the entrance exam to the Conservatory.
You choose the genre! I have experience in almost all genres so we can focus on the music you like.

I have 12 years of experience in performing and have performed with the Metropool Orchestra, played at festivals such as Concert at Sea and performed in hundreds of theaters and stages across the country. I also have experience with recording albums and songwriting.

I teach in my studio where all the instruments are present and where we can also record things as practice.
Depending on your location, I also teach at home.

From 2024 I will start teaching, something I have always enjoyed but have never been able to do full-time. The process of learning has always intrigued me and I have a lot of desire and energy to embark on this adventure.

I have been studying opera and classical singing since the age of 12, as well as jazz, choral, and musical theater singing. I have been performing in musicals since 2015.
These studies have given me a wealth of tools to adapt to what each student needs and wants, because the most important thing is that we never stop enjoying music.

My classes are based on three core principles. The first is having a clear method, rooted in the real functioning of the voice—its physiology (what science tells us about how we use the body to sing)—and applicable to anyone, step by step, with logic. I always prioritize the student’s vocal health and rely on scientifically proven methods. I use simple language, without unnecessary technicalities, so everything is easy to understand and makes sense.

The second is the emotional and psychological aspect. For me, connecting with the person in front of me is essential—understanding how they think, how they perceive themselves, what blocks them, and what motivates them. This way, I can adapt the classes to their personality and goals. I try to create a relaxed environment based on respect, trust, and a little humor, where everyone feels free and comfortable. We aren’t all born with the voice we wish we had, but we can all develop what we do have—and on that journey, singing becomes a way to know and accept yourself better.

And the third is the dedication and professionalism with which I approach this work, which I am truly passionate about.

All classes are divided into a warm-up and vocalization section, followed by work on a chosen piece suited to the student’s level and preferred style. Regardless of style or level, a foundation in classical singing will always be established.
