About Me

I am a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), and have been working professionally in Music Theatre in Australia and the UK for over ten years (notably South Pacific, Jekyll & Hyde, She Loves Me). I can offer industry-specific knowledge, as well as years of experience in performance and singing. I have a Masters of Teaching (UNE), which equips me with the best approaches to teaching, and the ability to cater to the individual. As a registered teacher, I can cater to secondary drama or music students.

I have recently completed the level 1 and 2 Estill voice training course, which also informs my knowledge and approach to singing training.

I think singing is a wonderful way to express yourself and is a great skill to learn. I can take on students of varying skill levels and will always tailor the program to meet their needs.

This class is for anyone interested in learning the guitar, from absolute beginners to more advanced players looking to further improve their playing.

I teach all styles of music from classical and jazz to pop and rock. I teach chords, lead guitar, songs, improvisation, music theory and much more. My lessons are tailored for my students. I teach whatever they want to learn, but will be able to prepare lessons for anyone not sure where they want to go. I also teach grades such as ABRSM and Rockschool. On top of this, I also teach bass guitar.

I have been playing for fifteen years andteaching and performing around the UK for ten years.

The purpose of this course is to bring students closer to a conservatory experience, where learning is not limited to "how-to" tutorials and lectures. Through a series of lessons customised according to your needs, assignments, and working with me on tasks, you will develop a great load of skills in composition as well as a deep understanding of music theory.

Through ear training, tonal harmony, history of music, as well as structure and form courses, you will be able to analyse and appraise the music that you play as a classical instrumentalist, as well as boost your skills in composition and arrangement.

I have experience teaching all levels of academic music. In particular, I specialise in tutoring Grades 1-5 Music Theory (ABSRM), Primary School Level and Secondary School Level up to Music GCSE. I cover the fundamentals of reading music notation, and I will tailor my lessons to the syllabus and student's requirements, whilst ensuring the lessons are enjoyable and rewarding. This course is an introduction to contemporary music theory. It covers music theory from a practical approach, aiming to provide contemporary musicians with the necessary theory knowledge to communicate effectively within an ensemble situation, as well as develop their individual skills as music practitioners. After the initial explanation, practical application is explored, giving the students the opportunity to test their knowledge, and clear any doubts.

As a pianist, musicologist and composer, I am passionate about music and I tend to cover the maximum amount of subjects inside music in my lessons. I don’t only teach how to play piano, but I explain, in the most suitable way for my students, how music works, the theory of music, how to create music and your own songs, where do concepts come from, the relationship between intervals and harmonies, etc.
I love asking my students which are their favourite activities and their favourite pieces of music so we can learn them together or arrange them together. I’m always open to teach other instruments to my students or to sing. My music lessons are about having fun while learning.

Inspired by the Alexander technique, we need the body to be completely free from any muscle tension before and after producing a sound. My repertoire is obviously classical but also my daily job is playing for Corporate Event, Dinner Presentations, Cocktails Party and Art Galleries .
